oh my god what did you get? but hell yeah my favorite girl ever!
favorite thing about them: how versatile, out of the box and just overall alive she is. alive not in the happy bubbly character who loves everything and has rainbow fairies singing above their head, but in the feel so much good and the bad and extremely overwhelming typa way. her overall compassion and empathy go hand in hand with her deeply disturbing morals (she will sacrifice herself for her friends but she'll also sacrifice the world for them). her witty comebacks sometimes end up being weapons to hurt people she loves. her sharp and quick intelligent mind doesn't save her from being irrational and hotheaded. she'll tell her friends to be kinder to william but will have no trouble almost killing delmas in a fucking terrorist attack. she feels so much her joy and love for life quickly turns into unhealthy coping mechanisms and literal attempts.
least favorite thing about them: i think the show should've allowed her to fuck up way more. and not with the silly mistakes like going into the wrong bathroom i mean letting her impulsiveness cause trouble. we saw it mostly when she self-sacrificed herself (although it was good sometimes like in the missing link when she genuinely thought she was doing the right thing. it was arrogance and it was great!!) but i'd love to see her make mistakes and be held accountable and grow in a much more realistic way.
favorite line: βto win, sometimes you have to know how to loseβ is a classic and obviously is thee quote, it deserves all the applause. i also love βwe should be proud of ourselves!β because i love aelita knowing her worth and recognizing her own skills and intelligence
brOTP: all of them lol i love their friendships!! i'd say my personal fav is with ulrich but also when we're talking brotps nobody can compete with aelita and odd point blank period. they're thee found family ever, it's like they whole-heartedly believe they're related atp π
OTP: well obviously jerlita they're like the only ship ever but i also heavily fw yumilita, they have incredible potential of being the most complicated but utterly devoted girlfriends ever and i'm so here for it!!
nOTP: tbh i don't really see her with anybody outside those two in general but i also gotta say willita. i never liked it personally and i can't see it. also i don't count nicholas here 'cause i deadass don't consider it a real ship lmao sorry π
random headcanon: she starts wearing glasses later in life, her eyesight isn't that bad, but she needs them for reading. also her hair is curly!!!!!!! that's my favorite hc ever i will always draw her as a curly girl that's my agenda!!
unpopular opinion: i think most of my opinions on her are unpopular tbh ππ but in no particular order: her style is not this clean girl coquette lolita aesthetic i see being pushed everywhere; music is her hobby and she maybe gets some occasional dj gigs but it's not her career; she goes into tech/science/teaching math to feel connected to her family; her s4 personality is her real fully fleshed out personality and people disagreeing with it gives me an ick because it feels infantalizing. and i HATE how infantalized she is.
song i associate with them: by subdigitals obviously mother earth! but also omg so many songs. i'd say saturn's return by zara and maybe controversial take but moody girl by my fav meg thee stallion. but also if you're open minded consider some penelope scott π
