Kevin Fletcher was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1956. He received his BFA in printmaking and graphic design from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1978. The following year he attended Northern Illinois University for graduate study in printmaking and history. In 1981 Fletcher received his MFA in printmaking from Syracuse University. He has to his credit a long listing of solo exhibiitons since 1984 and his work has been included in extensive group exhibitions. Indonesian fiber artist Mulyana has taken over the Fisher Museum of Art with colorful, hand-knitted and crocheted aquatic life.
With the duality of life and death as a recurring theme, Mulyana crafts a tactile, mystical world in which fish, whales, and coral reefs coexist with sea monsters and slow states of decay.
