What Tominaga meant was that Miraland is an universe alternate to Earth, not that this entire story is an AU from the other Nikki games - after the last beta, Paper did state officially this game's story was linked to the previous games and that said link would be elaborated upon, which can't happen for a retcon/AU

At the beginning of the game, Nikki is looking for a dress for her graduation party. It's a known fact that Nikki was a junior at college for the past four games;

Bloom Poetry (SN) states two important things: 1) from the moment Nikki left Earth originally to the moment she came back to it after Miraland's destruction, only a few minutes had passed; 2) Nikki can't stay longer than half an hour on Earth before losing every memory of Miraland; together with the above item, it means Nikki came back to Earth after Shining Nikki, lost her memories nearly immediately and lived her sweet life as a normal uni student for the three or so years left of her graduation course;

Provided it's the same Nikki, it's the same narrative timeline outright. That means Shining Nikki did happen and, given its own lore, specifically the facts it's Nikki last chance to save Miraland because she couldn't do it alone after trying hundreds of times to the point Leonid decided to summon the player and shove a piece of a god into us to see if something changed, the game can only end in:

The plan works, Miraland is saved, and the timeline goes on and on eternally, placing Infinity Nikki as the direct sequel and placing it far in the future for that timeline;

Miraland is destroyed despite Nikki's sacrifices and the player's aid, meaning Miraland can't be saved at all, placing Infinity Nikki as a third Miraland timeline that will inevitably be destroyed all the same as the other two;

The only nation we have substantial info about (Heartcraft) has at least three of the cities the old Ninir/Lilith had;

The worldbuilding trailer states that the Heaven Fall/Godly War "shattered the old order", meaning there was an organised civilisation before war shook things up and destroyed the known governments (probably the seven nations as we knew them);

I was convinced that the graduation party was her high school graduation party, meaning that this takes place before ln/sn (and that this is why nikki is more brazen and spunky - she mellowed out with age).
