Hello all! 👋🏾 Call me Kyu (pronounced 'Q'). 🌸 I am a creative writer & novice animator in my mid 20s. My biggest dream is to bring my stories to life via animation, whether they are original or fan-made. I made this account hoping to make friends with artists & writers of many genres & formats! 🤗
And if it means anything, I'm a big fan of BTS, kdramas and too many anime series to name (The Apothecary Diaries, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, and Dandadan being my current faves lol). I've also studied Korean on & off for like six years, and trying to get back to it to it! 💪🏾😤

Deconstructing makes me feel dumb sometimes, because I remember how uncomfortable I was about Ariana's song being titled "God is a woman". As triggering as the blatant misogynistic scriptures made me, the idea of God being female still felt so blasphemous. And now I'm learning about concepts like the Divine Feminine and breaking my understanding of God away from Christianity's mold/interpretation, and it makes me feel so bamboozled for missing how even that viewpoint of God is rooted in patriarchy.
To whom it may concern, learning about a concept or history of something is not the same as believing in it....? 🤡 Being weird bc I said I am learning about the Divine Feminine - not worship, not embrace - LEARN. 🙃
Like, how inferior do you have to view women to think God would be offended at being perceived as a woman - literally creation made in (His) own image?

it bothers me when someone brings up misogyny in shounen anime and people shrug it off with "its designed for teenage boys, what can you expect." like well. idk i think its actually pretty important that shows for teenage boys are normal about women. i mean i think all media should be normal about women but teenagers are impressionable i think we could put a little bit of feminism in the teenage boy shows. it might do some good. you never know.
Oh yeah, so I did get around to design the OCB girls, but.... the two named Youngehun & Kiki turned out.... ehhh 🥴 Youngheun is so smol (which I'd prefer for Kiki), and Kiki just looks nothing like I imagined. 😭 I have to play around w/ her eyes & hair more to get it closer to what I imagine. Def will keep trying tho!

often you will see things online where you just have to be like "what a strange thing to say" or "i don't think that's true :)" to yourself and try to move on or you will lose your mind
the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.
