For the hurt Kylo week, day 6: Abandoned

Palliative care (from Latin root palliare "to cloak") is an interdisciplinary medical care-giving approach aimed at optimizing quality of life and mitigating or reducing suffering among people with serious, complex, and often terminal illnesses.

My fourth entry for @kyloevents' Hurt Kylo Week is kind of a combination of Day 4 and Day 5, as care taking as torture is basically what psychiatric abuse is, and then of course a prerequisite of mental instability to bring it all together

Kylo knows it’s begun when his muscles start moving under his skin. At first, small twitches and quivers, then escalating to cramping spasms that he can’t control. His teeth clack together and he grits them, falling to his knees as his body starts to contort.

His bones shudder and ache as they stretch, elongating and shifting, changing his form while they feel like they’re snapping like twigs. Kylo screams through his teeth. He’s already given up on trying to stay upright even on his knees, his body hitting the ground and moving erratically without any input from his mind. If he didn’t know better, he’d think he was dying.

Jaw splitting and lengthening as well, his teeth morph and burst through his gums, as sharp as daggers. His skin tears. Kylo’s vision disappears and then returns, different. His senses fry as infrared and ultraviolet become visible in new, sharper eyes at the same time the smell of his own blood overwhelms all else through a new, more sensitive nose.

His hands and feet, too, crack, change, evolve. He grows a tail, just as sharp as the teeth and claws that have sprouted. Every part of him becomes a weapon. He is a one man arsenal, the Force surging even more powerfully within him as he lets it take over all else.

This is your true form, Snoke had told him, when he’d first learned the technique. This is the pinnacle of power that you can unlock through the Force.

And Kylo had done it. Soon, he would break out of the high-durability transportation crate he was in like he was tearing through paper. Instincts would take over and he would hunt. Anything alive, he would chase down and tear apart and feast upon. When he was like this, he had no control; there was no Kylo, there was only the creature that he released from within.

An underexplored dark kylux scenario imo is Snoke forcing Kylo to submit to being raped by Hux. Kylo doesn’t say no, because he can’t, not without Snoke punishing him (even more painfully than this) for it, but it’s pretty obvious what’s happening here. And Hux isn’t stupid enough to not know it either

And it could play out so many different ways. Often, Hux is rough, because of course he is. Not in a directly violent way, but just in a way that shows he has no regard for Kylo’s experience in this. He’s just getting himself off and using Kylo’s body to do it. It’s pure disinterest, a clinical approach. Then, when he’s done, he pulls out and leaves as if it was just a business transaction and nothing else

Other times, he is directly violent. Often after they’ve had some sort of argument, especially in cases when Kylo was right. Hux is allowed to do anything that won’t cause permanent damage to Snoke’s apprentice and oh, he is going to use that to its fullest. He snarls insults, some of which hit a little too close to home. He doesn’t use enough lube. He slaps and hits Kylo during, while Kylo bares his teeth and spits the blood in his mouth back into Hux’s face. Kylo isn't allowed to resist, but he can at least do that. Hux has even choked him to the cusp of unconsciousness before and still, Kylo has no choice but to endure. Snoke tells him the pain and violation makes him stronger. He aches to believe it, especially on these days where the simple act of walking away afterwards has pain shooting through his whole body with every step

The worst, in Kylo’s opinion, are when Hux is sweet. When he praises Kylo, compliments him, and fucks him in a way that is comparatively almost gentle. He touches Kylo too, makes sure he gets pleasure out of it as well. These are the times when Kylo almost always comes, because Hux will insist upon it and it takes him a long time to give up on trying. Kylo knows full well that Hux doesn’t mean any of it and he doesn’t want Hux to mean any of it either, and yet. Given this experience is usually so unpleasant, when it does feel good, Kylo can’t help being drawn into it a little. His life, in general, has so much pain; it’s hard for him to resist the closest thing to gentleness he gets, even if that is from unwanted, hated hands. He never lets Hux see it, but those nights involve more tears afterwards than Kylo would ever admit

Cause I just think about the time between when Kylo was left in the snow, broken and bleeding, and when he gets rescued. He’s got the wound in his side from the bowcaster, which seemed pretty serious. Given it’s a whole bit throughout the movie that one shot from the bowcaster sends normal people flying and is a guaranteed instant kill, the fact that Kylo barely even moved when he got hit is insane. And I can only imagine the damage done. It probably penetrated his abdominal wall and I think I recall one of the novels describing him as holding his organs in with the Force during this whole bit

And then he’s wounded further, hit a few times by Finn and Rey – and remember that lightsaber wounds are burns, and burns hurt so much more than just a regular laceration. And then on top of that, he’s got the massive hit from Rey at the end, carving from his shoulder through half of his face. And it’s only after that one that he’s apparently in so much pain that he can no longer get up

Which, one, says something alarming about his pain tolerance (darksiders do gain strength from pain, but that doesn’t mean it’s not painful). But also just. The amount of suffering he must have been in. His face split and burning. Smaller wounds on his shoulder and leg. The absolute hole in his abdomen, which he might still be having to keep the Force active on to keep from things getting much, much worse very quickly

1) Arthritis

I’ve seen a lot Hux with chronic pain, and I do agree cause this workaholic can’t stop himself even if his body cries in pain, but neither Kylo can .

I do HC him having arthritis in the knees from a young age.

He was sent at the academy at a young age, yes older than others, but still young enough that his body didn’t fully grown yet. I’m pretty sure it was very tough on the body of a 10-13 years old and Luke don’t seem to be the guy that sugar coat his students.

So 13 years old Ben started to have inflamed knees AND IT HURT LIKE HELL. One night he couldn’t bare the pain and told Luke who just told him philosophy Jedi shit (in brief, got neglected)

Kylo falling to the dark side didn’t help at all even got worse. His knees can lock, buckle without warning, swelling after mission with pain spike, but nobody really care about how he feels

He’s suffering non-stop where he can’t do much about it. That’s torture.

2) Deaths on his mind

The first one is his first lover and Ashley’s mother (for the people who first see me, they’re ocs).

He plays non-stop Aayla’s death. How he arrived to late and found her dead with a puddle of blood underneath her corpse. He saw his toddler crying and begging her mom to come back, covered in her blood.

Every night his brain play the scene. Sometimes Ashley is dead other time he is the one who killed them, but everytime he wake up screaming, sweating and wish to be dead than suffer like this.

Being torn between wanting to die or be there for Ashley. That’s self torture.

The other would be Han with no surprise. He tells him over and over that he meant nothing to him but hey Kylo, you’re a bad liar.

He messed up so much…

Hurt Kylo week, day 4: mental instability

Ben fell to his knees before Tai’s body, his rage draining and leaving him numb. He reached out to cup Tai’s cheek, finding that his skin was already cooling. His eyes were still open. Ben moved his hand to close them, pointedly not looking at the skin around his neck that made it obvious how Tai had died.

The Knights were waiting for him, but Ben didn’t have it in him to care about that at the moment They were his now, he supposed. To think, he’d wanted so badly to be one of them, had thought about them for years, and yet now that it had happened, all he felt was empty.

For the one he’d truly wanted most was gone forever.

He had so many regrets. So many years of never telling Tai how he felt, of always wanting to be closer than the Jedi code would’ve allowed them to be. He’d been about to tell Tai yes, that he would go with him, but the option had been taken out of his hands and now Ben only had one path left.

There was one last thing he could have, though, even if it was also too late. Ben leaned down, pressing his lips to Tai’s dead ones, finally having the first kiss he’d never had the chance to when Tai was still alive. A tear ran down his face, landing on Tai’s cheek as Ben pulled away; if only he’d had the courage to do that while Tai was still alive, maybe things would’ve turned out differently.

So I didn’t really talk about my two ocs: Aayla (Not the Jedi fyi) and Ashley.

Aayla is Kylo’s first love 💕 who died. Love angst.

Ashley is their daughter they had while they’re were 17 so yeaaahhhh lots of stuff happened BUT ANYWAY HERES THE FIC:
