I went outside of the 'realistic' color range for this one and added some colors that don't quite make sense but are fun. I also studied some stylistic choices from artists I like and tried to incorporate similar aesthetics into this piece.

Smith Mountain Lake I painted (digitally) this one from life! The colors in real life are MUCH richer than they are in photos so that's why painting from life is generally preferable.

Plein air painting I did for a local painting competition - it sold and I got an honorable mention (again) :)

Fishergnome - I did this piece a few years back. I revisited it this past week to refine the details so that I can now bring it to life as an oil painting at the Shakori Hills Grassroots music festival. Come say hello if you happen to be there!
