“The heaviness would get worse with each night. Not much, but when he’d think back to the week before it was pretty significant.

He didn’t care about it anymore.

He never really did care for it ever. Not when he was stopping to rub his chest in the middle of a sentence, not when he’d be fully out of breath whenever he’d laugh for a bit too long.

“ “What.”

Was all he’d managed to muster out, because apparently he didn’t know how to handle situations like this.

That got Denny to finally look up.

“Y’know,” he’d said, grinning, “moving in, splitting rent and shit like that. We were looking at those new apartments.”

Denny explained it so easily. It was like he thought Aaron had missed what he said, because he knew Aaron, and Aaron always missed what was being said because his mind was always somewhere else.

“That’s amazing, dawg. I hope you get one, they’re pretty nice so people will want to rent though so I’d hurry up on getting an application in.”

Aaron mentality kicked himself, why would he give him that advice. He didn’t fucking want them moving in together.

Then he melted when he saw how Denny lit right up.

Denny actually lit up.

Aaron thought he might actually do anything to keep that look on his face.
