“ I’m just saying, I’m the most important person who is going to be appreciating it.” Jungwoo puts his hands up in defense, showing Katrina he has nothing against her request and demands. Willing to do whatever for her to agree to hang out with him . “ Fine! That okay with me! As long as I get to chill with my favorite siren.” He smiles from ear to ear, going to drape his arm around the girl in order to guide her off the field. “ So. What do you want to eat Ms.Bossy? Nothing too expensive! You know I’m on a budget!” He jokingly frowns at her while they walk. 

          THE GIRL FEELS  yet  another  smile  growing  upon   her  visage  when  jungwoo  calls  her ,  ‘ ms. bossy .  ‘   it’s  weight   tugging  softly  at   the  curves  of   her  painted  lips  while  she  observes  the   other fondly ;  amused  by  the  way  the  familiar  frowns  over  at  her when  he  reveals  that  he  doesn’t  have  much  to  spend . &,  katrina  walks  alongside  him ;  making  sure  to  keep  in  stride  with  the  male  beside  her — the  siren  allowing  him  to  guide  her  across  the  field  in  the  right  direction .  but ,  with  a  small  nod  &  a  breath  of  laughter  on  her  tongue ,  she  reassures  the  other  with  her  little  gestures ,  that  she  wouldn’t  make  him  pay  for  anything  at  an  absurd  price .  “  how  about  we  get  a  pizza ??   sound  good  to  you  ??  ” 

Jungwoo throws his head back in an exaggerated manner when Katrina gives her reasons for not being able to skip practice with him. When he finally looks back to her, he mirrors her pout. “ I saw it! That’s what matters! Plus, you have other practices to wear your uniform! You thought I went back to hell. You should hang out and catch up with me! I’m sure the other cheerleaders will teach you later !” He tries to justify her ditching her cheer duties with a whine. “ Come on Kat ! “ He cries out childishly. Taking her face into his hands as he squishes her cheeks to make a funny face. “ Let’s go grab something to eat or maybe watch a movie back at my dorm !  You can even wear your uniform if it bothers you that much.” Jungwoo smiles at the siren with pleading eyes. 

        KATRINA’S  CHEEKS  BEGIN  to  ache  as  another  round  of  laughter  dares  to  slip  past  her,  whilst  the  familiar  squeezes  her  cheeks  within  his  grasp .  &,  prying  jungwoo’s  hands  off  her  face ,  she  shakes  her  head  in  protest .  amusement  painted  across  her  delicate  features  as  she  wags   a  finger  at  him .   “  no  no  no  !!  you  can’t  be  greedy  !!   everyone  has  to  be  able  to  appreciate  how  cute  i  look  in  this  outfit ,  junggie - poo !!   “   the  siren  teases.  booping  his  nose  with  a  playful  wink  before  retreating  to  grab  her  pompoms .  “   but ,  since  you  put  it  that  way. . .   “   the  girl  pauses  as  she  taps  her  chin .  pretending  to  think  his  options  over ,  however ,  if  truth  be  told ,  she  had  already  been  convinced .  “   it  sounds  like  a  plan  !!  but  only  ,  if   i  don’t  have  to  pay  for  the  food .  &  ,  we  are  watching  the  titanic !!  there   is  no  ifs  , &s  , or  buts , about  it .  “

Seeing Katrina act in her childish ways made Jungwoo laugh. Letting her sway them side to side, he rested his chin atop her head. His abs aching as his laughing was beginning to pain him. It was amazing how these two had become friends so fast just after one meeting. However, it couldn’t be helped. You clicked with who you clicked with. Pulling away he shook his head at her , taking a second to take in her cheer uniform. Still finding the siren’s mannerisms funny. “ Nope ! You can’t get rid of me that fast Kat ! I’m here to stay ! “ He jokingly growls the last part as his hands go to attack her sides, tickling her. “ You are stuck with me ! “ Jungwoo declares a little loud, getting looks from the other athletes on the field. “ We should ditch practice. “  He purposes as he whispers into her ear. Speaking quieter due to his embarrassment. 

        THERE  IS  A  stream  of  giggles  that  make  it  past  the  siren’s  painted  lips .  her  eyes  crinkling  in  favor  of  her  own  laughter  as  she  attempts  to  get  away  from  the  familiar’s  grasp .  squirming  within  his  arm  as  she  tries  to  escape  from  the  hands  which  attack  her  sides .  &,  it's  only  when  he  whispers  in  her  ear  once  more  that  she  somehow  manages  to  compose  herself .  gaining  control  over  her  breathing,  as  well  as,  her  own  laughter .  looking  to  him  with  curious  eyes ,  her  delicate  features  illuminate  themselves  with  a  sense  of  wonder .  "  what  do  you  want  to  do  ??  "  she  asks  with  a  slight  tilt  to  her  head  as  she  looks  back  to  him .  though  suddenly ,  something  seems  to  click  within  her  own  thoughts .  & ,  a  pout  paints  itself  across  her  visage .  “  wait  !!  i  can’t  skip  !!  not  enough  people  have  seen  me  in  my  cute  uniform .  & , not  to  mention ,  i  think  we  are  learning  a  new  routine  today  !! “

Jungwoo had track practice today. Though, he was kind of dreading having signed up for the sport in the first place. But, he has nothing better to do. His witch was busy anyways. Walking across the grass, his strides were confident, or maybe even considered cocky by others. There is a light bounce hinted at every other step that was taken. In the distance, he catches sight of a familiar cheerleader.  Spotting his target, Jungwoo moved slyly toward the siren, her familiar scent hitting him as he couldn’t help but smile. Behind her, he placed his hands over her eyes. Shielding her sight, causing her to become blind temporarily. “Guess who?” Jungwoo whispered in the female’s ear huskily, only before breaking out into a booming laugh.  (( * @kvtrinas   ))

         THE  SIREN  WAS  waiting  for  cheer  practice  when  suddenly  a  pair  of  mysterious  hands  had  covered  her  eyes .  a  small  jump  exerting  through  her  shoulders  as  the  unexpected  gesture  had  taken  the  girl  by  surprise .  though ,  when  his  voice  meets  her  ears ,  it  was  almost  instantaneously  that  a  grin  curved  at  her  lips .  a  laugh  of  her  own  fluttering  into  the  air  as  she  turned  around ,  tossing  her  pompoms  to  the  ground  before  practically  tackling  the  other  in  a  hug .  “   jungwoo  !!   ”   she  squeals  out  the  familiar’s  name ,  someone  she  had  met  shortly  after  keisung’s  camping  trip .   “  i  haven’t  seen  you  in  forever  !!  i  mean ,  i   was  so  worried  that  you ended  up  back  in  hell  !!   &  then  ,  this  is  how  you  greet  me  !!   by  scaring  me   !!    “   she  whines  playfully ,  attempting  to  use  her  strength  to  sway  them  back  &  worth.

☠ ––––  angel couldn’t help the laugh that escaped when he caught sight of the pouting siren next to him. “well don’t sirens like water ?” he asked making the not so broad assumption. jumping onto his feet he suddenly reached out his hand towards katrina, “there is a lake a little while that way,” he said nodding towards the woods. “we should go check it out ! plus i always wanted to see what you looked like in your sexy siren form,” he said smiling at the girl, hand still extended. 

            THE  POUT  WHICH   katrina  wears  is  quickly  replaced  as  amusement  pulls  at  the  edge  of  her  painted  lips .  a  small  smile  illuminating  her  features  whilst  a  giggle  barely  escapes  past  a  hand  which  attempts  to  stifle  it  .  she  raises  a  brow  at  angel ,  a  sense  of  mirth  glimmering  beneath  her  gaze .   “  well ,  don’t  witches  like  magic  ??  “  she  counters  playfully .  offering  the  other  a  gentle  nod  before  reaching  out  to  take  his  hand  &  pulling  herself  up.  "  the  lake  definitely  sounds  better  than  whatever  the  school  has  planned .  so  . . .  lead  the  way .  "  she  laughs ,   motioning  him  to  go  on .

jitae does his best to S T I F L E  his laughter as he pouts to the siren when she gives him that look once more. but, after shutting her car door he lets it escape. hurrying over to his side of the car, he gets behind the wheel shooting katrina a d e v i l i s h  grin. leaning over to FASTEN her seatbelt for her. another trick to win her over. the motion just another e x c u s e  to get close to her and an opportunity to see her reaction.  ❝ we’ve got to make sure the PRINCESS is safe. ❞ he teases before buckling himself. getting the engine started, he looks in his review mirror. not WASTING any more time as he backs out of his parking spot. putting his arm around the girl’s chair while he looks behind him. yet , another excuse to be close to the other. 

❝ R E  A D Y  for our first date , kitten ?  ❞  he asks. knowing her reaction to his words will definitely not be a pleasant one. but just knowing that amuses him greatly.  turning his attention back to the road, he SPEEDS off in the direction of where he was planning to court miss, katrina song.  ❝ i’ve got to  p r o v e  to you that you’re wrong about me not being so special, babe.  ❞   

          WHEN  THE  DEMON  leans  over  to  grab  for  katrina’s  seatbelt ,  her  visage  is  stone  cold.  her  delicate  features  laced  in  judgment  as  she  watches  the  other  attempt  to  make  a  move .  but ,  as  he  teases  her ,  she  is  rolling  her  eyes,  yet  again .  &  the  way  he  calls  her  princess , only  increases  her  dislike  for  the  other  by  a  tenfold .  her  brows  furrowing  ever  so  slightly  as  she  looks  out  to  the  window .  not  wanting  to  have  to  give  in  to  jitae’s  antics .   “  how  can  there  be  a  first ,  when  this  isn’t  even  a   date .   me  &  you  are  never  happening .  “  the  siren  corrects  him  almost  as  soon  as  his  claim  hits  the  air .  her  expression  obviously  displaying  the  disbelief  &  revulsion  she  felt  in  that  moment .  &,  never  had  she  agreed  that  this  was  going  to  be  a  date .  after  all ,  she  wasn’t  exactly  informed  what  it  was  that  the  demon  wanted  to  do,  before  he  had  dragged  her  out .  with  a  huff ,  she  finally  dares  to  look  over  at  the  male .  “  but ,  sure .  you  can  try .  but ,  i  think  my  mind  is  already  made  up ,  lover  boy .  so  , where   exactly  are  we  going  ??  “  she  asks .  her  gaze  wandering  to  the  road  in  front  of  them .  

her steps falter and hyeri turns to look at katrina. her attention goes to the blood and her chest aches knowing how much pain her friend is in. the adrenaline keeps her going, has her ignoring whatever pain she herself is in and keeps her going forward. the two won’t last long though-not with the way the hunters are attacking nor the way they are slowed down by katrina’s wound. she has to make a split second decision. time is wasting away and here, now, seconds do matter. “okay,” hyeri gives a nod, before she walks over and lifts katrina into her arms. it is purely adrenaline that gives her the strength to be able to do this. the fear pumping in her veins that will not let her stop, will not let her falter. “sorry,” she mumbles then she is running again as fast as her legs can carry her, trying to find the trails where danger will not follow them. 

❝ of course i do ! you can’t expect anyone to love you, unless you love yourself, baby .  ❞ jitae chuckles. continuing to G U I D E katrina through keisung. and, unadmittedly he was pleasantly surprised  that the siren allowed him to hold her hand for this long. it was almost stupid to be so excited about something so trivial. but he was EXCITED, like a preteen boy making his first move on a girl he liked. but despite how dumb that analogy was, that is exactly what it felt like trying to win this girl over. always stepping on his tiptoes hoping she’d accept his affections. for jitae, holding her hand was a huge accomplishment. given the fact she hardly looked his  way, or let alone, let him go near her. but it’s yet another laugh he gives out when she comments on him NOT being special. 

❝ how would you know that, p r i n c e s s  ? you have never even given me the chance to show you. ❞ he smiles,the demon guiding her over to his car. letting go of her hand, he goes to open the passenger side door. like a chauffeur he waits for her to take her seat, a rose waiting for her as soon as the door was open. and, yes it was CHEESY, but he had to pull out all his cards when it came to katrina. she wasn’t the easiest girl to please, but he motions her to get in.  ❝ after you, kitten. it’s time to WHISK you off your feet.  ❞

       THERE  IS  A  heaving  sigh  which  leaves  from  her  lips  whilst  the  fluttering  of  her  lashes  leads  to  eyes  which  roll .  katrina  can’t  help  but  look  to  the  other  with  agitation .  a  result  from  his  flirtatious  nature ,  as  once  again ,  it  rubs  her  the  wrong  way .  &  ,  her  arms  immediately  cross  over  her  chest  when  the  demon  lets  go  of  her  hand .  watching  as  he  goes  to  open  her  door .  suspicion  lacing  itself  into  her  gaze  while  she  observes  him  perform  his  gentlemenly  act .  but ,  she’s  convinced  he’s  this  way  with  everyone .  therefore ,  her  visage  remains  cold .  the  siren  eyeing  him ,  obviously  unimpressed .  “  you  could  say  i  just  have  a  feeling  ,  “  she  counters  with  a  forced  smile .  not  caring  to  hide  her  own  distaste  for  the  other  as  she  moves  to  take  her  seat  within  his  car .   but ,  she  pauses  as  her  sight  falls  upon  the  rose ,  &  instantly , her  attention  shoots  back  to  jitae .  a  brow  raised  almost  as  if  in  a  silent  inquiry .

         however ,  she  doesn’t  say  anything  &  instead ,  gets  into  the  vehicle .  the  girl  doing  her  best  as  she  attempts  to  appear  as  if  she  isn’t  phased  by  the  tacky  but  sweet  gesture .  though  growing  impatient ,  she  looks  up  to  the  demon  with  a  glare .  waiting  for  him  to  shut  the  door .  

☠ –––– angel’s spirits were immediately lifted as the girl ran her hand through his hair. with a newly found joy angel sat up straight leaning back slightly, placing his arms behind his head. “you missed me ?” he asked with a laugh, slightly shaking his head in disbelief. “nope ! not possible… but i sure did miss my favorite girl.” he said with a slight flirtatious tone turning and quickly pressing a soft peck to her forehead. “so baby girl, we have all this time to ourselves… what do you want to do first ?” he questioned with a smile, his face seeming too soft for his usual personality. 

           THERE'S A LIGHT fit of laughter which escapes past the curve of painted lips as the witch’s words meet her ears. & she immediately goes to protest, but she is silenced when he places a kiss upon her forehead. naturally, she feels her cheeks heat up, her visage flushing to that of a bright red as the simple act of affection causes her heart to flutter slightly. & it was in these moments that angel caught her off guard, but it's a soft giggle which bubble to the surface, that she uses to hide her flustered state.  playfully, she pouts at the other. offering them a small shrug. " i don't know, angel .  i don't want to do the stupid activities the school has planned. " she crosses her arms over her chest, almost in a childish manner. " who in their right mind would want to spend a weekend out in the wilderness?? what do people even do out here in the woods ?? " katrina whines, looking to him in need of some help. hoping he wouldn't force her to make the choice.

❝ YES, you can !  ❞ he immediately shoots b a c k. cutting her off. and, panic starts as he hears the hunters off in the distance. he looks to the girl, his expression pained and concerned.  ❝ i’m going to be okay , K I T T E N  .  ❞ he uses his typical pet name for her, hoping it might push her away. he scans their surroundings in search of anything else that might harm them.  ❝ but, i need you to GO. they are coming and i won’t d i e. i’m coming back. I just need you to be alright when i get there. so go.  ❞ he tries to reassure her. but, he HOPES she moves f a s t. there isn’t much time left. 

         KATRINA FALLS SILENT, &she can’t bring herself to argue with the demon before her anymore. & instead of disgust, it’s something sad which settles within her heart when he calls her by that name. unexpectedly, she pulls the other into one last hug. perhaps because deep down, she worries this might be the last of him. swiftly , she places a kiss upon his cheek. “ please be safe. “ she whispers.  a fleeting smile gracing her lips before she’s off. & with one last glance, she hopes he isn’t lying. that he will make it out of this okay. 

something P A I N S the demon when hears the siren talk about her safety so carelessly. and, he goes to hush her. stop the female from making their location known, but it’s too LATE. and,  when he sees something in the d i s t a n c e . like a flash of light, it only takes a matter of seconds to shield the other from the arrow that goes straight into him.  his grip grows tight at the initial blow. he CURSES into the other’s hair. muffling back a groan as he holds her c l o s e. in that minute trying to grasp the situation, however, he quickly lets her go. FLINCHING as the pain coursed through him.  ❝ go katrina. i’ll find kaspian, okay ? just please.  ❞ he can hardly speak as there’s an o d d  sting that makes him feel sick. but , he looks at her . HOPING she will listen. the hunters are likely to swarm them if she doesn’t hurry.  ❝  i’ll bring him back. i promise. just be there when we get home. go ! ❞

          WHEN HIS ARMS initially encircle her into his embrace,katrina’s first reaction is to push him away. however, something is wrong & she feels it in the way his arms tighten around her suddenly. understands it, in the way he suppresses a pained cry as he buries his face into her hair. &, it’s in that brief moment of realization, that she feels her body grow cold. her face torn with confusion as she’s pressed against his chest. yet, it’s only when he pulls away that guilt washes over her as the siren’s eyes widen at the sight of his injury. “ jitae... “ his name escapes her in bated breath. quieter her voice is this time, but she struggles to breathe. a sense of terror trembling at her fingertips. & her next words escape her in a blubbering mess. “ i .. jitae. i can’t. you’re hurt. i can’t just leave ... “ 

katrina. 

the relief that floods through her veins is overwhelming. it does not make her stop though. she reaches out grabbing a hold of the others wrist and then she is pulling them up and forward, away from the chaos, away from the nearing danger. “we have to go.” she manages through grit teeth. her body does not let her feel shake or stop, the siren has to push the thoughts of fear into the back of her mind lest she falls victim to the trappings of the world around them. hyeri has no idea what happened, what is going on. the world is a blur around her right now.

the only thing that matters to her is finding her people and saving others. nevermind that her arm is bleeding from an attack she barely managed to fend off. nevermind that people are collapsing around her with no chance of coming back. the siren just needs to know that those she cares about will be fine. she will get katrina to safety then look for others.
