𝕾𝖞𝖓𝖔𝖕𝖘𝖎𝖘. Them as Summer camp counselors 

𝕬.𝕹. The camp itself is heavily inspired by a day camp I went to as a child and yk summer is finally picking up

𖤓 so at this camp there are camp names

𖤓 Micheal is moonbeam (duh)

𖤓 star is either comet or supernova 

𖤓 David… idk possibly something like pearl or albino. Or it’s straight up just bat. Ohohohhohoo or the scientific name for a vampire bat which is Desmodontinae. It’d obviously be shortened but Yk something like that. He’d also be like the vice director or something like that

𖤓 Dwayne is jaguar or leopard, I know I’m very creative 

𖤓 Paul is parrot cause Yk paulie wanna cracker. It’s either that or quack which is an actual name used by a councilor at the camp when I was younger. 

𖤓 marko is either something like ruby or canvas but I could also see him begging to be called mod podge or something like that. Or yk him and Paul could be matching with him being pigeon and Paul being parrot

𖤓 max would be the camp director or either be at the front desk. But as the camp director he’d still need a name, something like king or general. Something that holds power.

𖤓 I’m not gonna forget about the frog brothers and Sam. Though they technically wouldn’t councilors yet because they’re still in highschool and you become and official councilor at 18 let’s pretend junior councilors have names

𖤓 Sam has knight (referring to the end of kryptonite) 

𖤓 then Allen has newt and edger has toad

𖤓 laddie isn’t old enough to have a name since JCs start at 13 and he’s like forever 11 but people often call him lady, it’s often used in teasing but he just plays along. Though if he was to actually choose a camp name it’d most likely be a cryptic like moth-man or big foot (another actual name from this camp)

𖤓 now onto actual activities I know that took long

𖤓 so throughout most of the camp there’s a system of creeks, Dwayne is often the person to watch over them and sometimes joins the kids though it’s rare 

𖤓 Paul’s right to playing music is often revoked but is given back to David after a very short time. What can I say Paul knows how to beg on his knees

𖤓 marko is at the craft tables as much as one breaths air. He conducts everything and everyone at those tables admires and respects him deeply. Though half of the time he’s starting lanyards and friendship bracelets then actually doing his own shit

𖤓 David is often switching between places around the camp, he’s never just in one space. It’s ever changing where he is, like the creeks. Though he could be seen off in the forest surrounding the camp, he's good at  finding the kids who get lost in em 

𖤓 Paul sneaks beer onto the camp grounds, everyone knows but no one stops him 

𖤓 star is often with a bunch of little kids fallowing her. At this camp there are age groups councilors look after and she would most certainly have the 5-7 age group 

𖤓 David and marko have the ten and elven year olds while Micheal, Dwayne, and Paul have the 8-9 year olds. While these groups exist they’re only used for groups and on the first days when getting to know each other, aside from that it’s pretty interacted and girls often flock to Dwayne marko and star while boys roughhouse with Paul and Micheal. And Yk, David is… there

𖤓 I think Sam would try to get a summer girlfriend and Micheal would just watch from afar, collecting blackmail with Paul 

𖤓 there’s usually a giant slip n slide that gets put up and one time Paul went down so fast he crashed into the fence, mind you it’s like five feet away from the end of the slide which is not the steep at all

𖤓 I haven’t talked all that much about Allen and edger cause they’re often at the top of the camp where they eat lunch and stuff as an entire camp. They manage snacks and other things but the two along with Sam usually stay up there without any repercussions 

𖤓 Micheal, like David, isn’t usually stuck stationary in one place but he often switches between being with Dwayne at the creeks (often at the other one so there’s more supervision) or with star and sometimes Paul, enjoying music

𖤓 since max is rarely seen on the camp grounds themselves david steps in as acting director and he can be surprisingly soft, he knows what it's like to be yelled at  and the doesn't want to inflict that pain onto such impressionable kids

𖤓 sometimes little girls even will come up to David with little flowers they picked. He keeps them all in his pocket and then has them in a small mason jar he plans to give to Marko when full.

𖤓 this is all a day camp if you couldnt pick up and most nights when all the kids are picked up the counselors stay and have a cook out or a campfire at the least. Max doesn't care as long as they clean up

𖤓 edger and allen has like a collection of walking sticks that they trade for kids snacks tho they get like unlimited gram-crackers

𖤓 theres a around three hour hike at the end of each week. Dwayne unofficially leads them though there's already a set trail and technically he's not supposed to be up there since the 5-7 age group should be at the front but micheal can handle them can't he? (he cant, it fails every time)

𖤓 on these hikes paul and marko also take the most obnoxious detours with just the two of them. 

𖤓 theyres also a tradition of sighing the camp shirts that marko takes very seriously, he’ll crash tf out if he messes his up on a kids shirt even once. Also his and Paul's shirts are cropped. They are required to wear them since it says staff on the back (sorry dwayne)

𖤓 there wasn't a lake at  the og camp inspiring  this but i do believe if there was one paul and dwayne would instruct JCs on boarding along with the fact max definitely has a boat

"oh so the trans character kills herself??? this show is transphobic" JESUS CHRIST YOU PEOPLE ARE INSANE. Jax repressed himself to the point of abstraction, then Pomni finds a way to reach him even through his broken mental state, and the gang puts him in a safe and comfortable blanket fort where s/he can relax and get his senses back in order without hurting himself or others. The other abstractions get to be seen being happy and at peace. No it's not IDEAL but it's basically like having a mental break that just needs some care and attention instead of Cellar. We do not see any Abstractions get fixed but the episode does leave it open-ended as to how much they will one day be able to be reached, and the characters have eternity to figure it out. Jax finally opens up to Pomni in that headspace and it's far from impossible she can still talk to him in this state.

it's also not like Jax is the only trans/queer character. Zooble is nonbinary/genderqueer and makes it through the entire show, is given emotional depth and weight to their own dysphoria and character struggles, and then gets to end the show with their human self opening a successful (implied) queer bar and their digital self having epic gay sex!! (entire theater cheered and clapped at that btw)

like. look me in the eyes. do you think that a trans woman show creator would write a trans woman character just to kill her out of malice?? like do you think she was maybe trying to say something with the abstractions and Jax's repression and the fact there is still hope and time for him and his human self?? are we operating on this level of media literacy or are we just looking for things to get mad at
