He pulls Kallus off-balance before Kallus has more than opened his mouth to say what, dragging him in close for the sort of kiss Kallus has imagined, all teeth and harsh breath and one of Zeb's fangs pressing into his lip, making it ache. His hands tight on Kallus' shoulders until Kallus shifts and squeezes his hands tight on Zeb's sides, feeling the warmth of him through the tight fabric of his jumpsuit, a small, plaintive sound escaping his throat at the feel of him, strong and soft and warm, even moreso than he's been in his fantasies, Zeb rumbling a deep sound in response
The sound passes them by, fading into the jumbled noise from the city. Zeb turns back once it's gone, lifting his hand to stroke the back of his index finger over the stubble just starting to grow long enough on Kallus' chin to be soft.
"Y'saved my life," he says.
"One could argue I was merely returning the favor," Kallus says, pleased.
"Yeah, well," Zeb says, but he doesn't bother with whatever the rest might have been, instead leaning in and pressing his mouth to Kallus' once more, this time more gently, the sound he makes at the back of his throat when Kallus closes his eyes and kisses him back soft and gentle, like music.
