Here we are! The first Tea Time London for the T-Time with the Gurlz network. First of all, I have never been in communion with other transsexual girls with similar complexions to mine in my life. Let that sink in, on Thursday 19th July 2018 was the first time I sat down with two other black trans dark skinned girls in my thirty two years of life. @1.chloe.f brought an artistic nobility to the shoot that was counteracted with a behind the scenes playfulness. @charliecraggs was the one who came in with incisive commentary on whiteness and the thorny issue of privilege in trans women communities that I would not yet be brave enough to broach. The inimitable @4tschan is as arrestingly beautiful in person as on camera, but she is so far from intimidating - marvelling at her beauty made me recognise my own. She makes you feel ebullient in her presence because her effervescence is so infectious. Youâre looking at sisterhood in abundance here. The triumph over trauma that our coming together signifies. Our conversation was deep, giggly and transformative. We thanked @ashleybreathe effusively for giving us the opportunity to come together in this way. It was such a remarkable and life changing experience. We canât wait for you to see us on YouTube. It shanât be too long until the editing is done. Get ready bitches. This is the dawning of the age of transquarius! #transisbeautiful #girlslikeus #sisters #drinkitin #transgender (at Novotel London Brentford)
