i dare you is officially back
back in april 2020, i started writing kaylor stories. from then up to around the end of 2021 i've written 3 complete books. a couple more are unfinished. but one of my best ones is called "i dare you".
this holds a special place in my heart because i was writing from a really dark place, a place of real pain. some chapters go over 10,000 words. not gonna lie it gets heavy & sad (but i promise it's a kaylor love story). it lived on wattpad for a long time. then i unpublished it around 2022 i think & i've gotten messages over the years asking where they can read the book. some reached out offering to buy a copy. i didn't have time back then. but i knew one day, i had to sit down & polish it.
6 years later, it's here.
i've spent the last couple of weeks diving back into the world i built in 2020 & it was an emotional rollercoaster (i'm so proud of my younger self lol). i know ppl have opinions abt RPF but i just wanna put it out there, taylor swift is my religion & i love kaylor so i write fictional stories about them. it also skips the whole character explanation part (physical traits) etc. this means i can go straight to the emotional core of the story itself (this is what i love most). the point is when you strip away the kaylor part of it & replace their names with original ones, the story holds the same weight. i write AU. so.
don't just take my word for it, tho. ppl cried over this book at 2AM. and this reader left a message on my wattpad profile in 2021:
"hey i know i've said this before but i really do love your stories!! i dare you mirrored a lot of things i went through relationship wise and you've written everything as realistically (i couldn't find the word but i guess it's like organically) as it can be. I've shared your book to some of my friends and that also helped me open up more about what happened with my own past and i just wanted you to know how amazing that what you've written in this story could help someone like me like that. anyways, i hope this wasn't too much"
others said:
"I cry every time I read this! One of the purest love stories I've ever read."
"Just wow.. this chapter is so heartbreaking but on the other hand I totally get why..."
"omg this story really one of the best kaylor's story ever, heck i can confidently say this is one of the best in this platform!!"
honestly, i never expected this. i'm not a professional writer. i never even thought ppl would actually read my stories. i started writing to vent & understand what i was going through back then. but imagine that? a kaylor story helped someone process their real life situation? i don't know that just stuck with me.
so anyway, this 998-page epic is officially formatted & ready to be yours (if you're interested).
it's free of course!
you can read chapter by chapter on wattpad & see how you go: https://www.wattpad.com/story/244411560-i-dare-you
