The exotic music collective was established by two composers/musicians/producers/engineers/singers-songwriters namely Tshegofatso "Tazzy" Lehutso, born & bred in Ekhurhuleni (East of Johannesburg) & Victory "Vic" Chauke from Pretoria West, South Africa. Muz'art was established in 2009 with the initiative to create timeless & soul piercing music for a new age. The elements of the sound is influenced by the musical backgrounds that all the band members entail of Jazz, Soul, Afro-pop & Gospel. Apart from the two above mentioned members, the group has two more members namely, Rorisang "Rori" Thandekiso who is the bands Lead vocalist from Vaal,and Nkanyiso "Nka" Khanyile who is the deejay in the band from the South of Johannesburg Muz'art does work with both accomplished and up and coming artists, forever keeping the element of surprise in their experimental production. Bound to make the best music they possibly can out of the African heart, Muz'art has a lot to offer to the masses. Muz’art shared a stage with Zakes Bantwini, AKA and DJ Kent at the “Music And Me Event” by Dineo Ranaka (YFM radio personality). One of their singles ‘Jukebox’ held the number one title in theYFM music charts (various shows) for more than three months consecutively. What comes next from the group will always be unpredictable & a mystery but will forever resonate & speak to the souls of music lovers throughout the world.Muz'art is a lifestyle, a movement expressed through music. It is a production team of talented young artists that produce timeless sounds that cross the boundaries of age, culture & race. It is an institution that reinforces the powers of sound & instruments. Somebody call a doctor were the last four words I heard before I collapsed and fell into a drift. I'd heard stories of rhythmic pulses that would knock you to the ground but this was something else. This thing, it took my breath away and it came out that speaker, right over there and it floated through the air and it landed on that strobe and it seemed like the flashes spread throughout the room. I know this sounds crazy but it's true. I know what I saw and I know what I felt but I just didn't know what to do. So when I saw that mist right over my head, I looked at it close, it was blue and then red and all of the colours of the rainbow and in between, I thought someone must have slipped me a pill because I felt like I was in a dream So I looked around to see if anyone else was seeing what I was seeing but their eyes were all closed and I thought that 'maybe I am dreaming, maybe this music has put us in a trance so our minds could be free, so our bodies could dance'. All of a sudden I took a deep breath, the mist filled my lungs and took the breath I had left. I felt myself falling at the same time.The DJs an alien and he's messing with our minds.
