4 o’clock Short Work time

It all started at a concert when it was said ‘There isn’t a song where Taehyung-ie starts it…’ ‘ah I’ll make it’

is what I said and I remember we just laughed it off. Although I just laughed and we got over it, there was a part of my heart that was bothered by it.

But as if right on time, few months ago Taehyung-ie seemed like his creative side was firing up and he brought a song for me to listen to and said ‘Hyung, this is the kind of song I want to try making..’ asking me if I could make him a song. I said Ah yes, and hit a few chords and sent him the song. But the entire song was just a few EP chord snaps and it was embarrassing to even it call it a beat so I didn’t really like it. While this was happening (as if on time) talks of Festa came up.

I said ‘Should we try to do this right? He said ‘I’d like that, hyung!’ although this is how we started… due to advancements overseas and  the fact that I couldn’t figure out a what instruments or theme to go with even though that is the most important, made it hard to focus. So I asked Taehyung-ie.

‘What story do you want to tell?’ ‘the dawn’ ‘dawn? what kind of dawn?’ ‘just sitting at a park at dawn waiting for a friend.. the birds chirping.. I really really like that moment.’ ‘ah that ambiguously blue moment??’ ‘yes! I really like that bluish quietness.’ ‘me too!!’

This song wouldn’t have been made without Namjoonie hyung~ I’ve always wanted to write about the dawn and.. because I like this style songs, I listen and sing to a lot and I wanted to try making this kind because my creativity was firing up so I asked Namjoonie hyung for it and he gave me a beat I really wanted

I liked Namjoonie hyung’s beat so much I wrote 6 different kinds of melodies I thought of the birds at dawn as the main subject That time between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock before the sun rises when it’s bluish, when there’s no one else at the park but me and the birds at dawn (will just say ‘bird’ moving forward), that time is short and I really like that time so there was a point where I went 5 days in a row to see it It was there alone that I made the song on top of the beat Namjoonie hyung put together and although it’s not like I write lyrics well like Namjoonie hyung, I wanted to try and relay the feelings I liked into the lyrics. 

the dark (silent) dawn where the (listless) sounds ring with the cold cold winter wind you continuously close yours eyes to the sounds as you realize the dawn fly the birds at dawn cry out with an anxious passion fly let me hear your voice fill this dawn

This is a letter I hoped to send to the birds at dawn (just ‘birds’) but For me to write alone, this song couldn’t be completed and I was about ready to give up when it was able to be completed because of Namjoonie hyung~~ As expected of poet Kim Namjoon!

I let my muse take the reins and decide what threads to start or reply to in a given day. If the muse doesn’t feel it, it isn’t happening. That doesn’t mean that I hate you or that I no longer want to interact with you; I probably either lost our thread or my muse just said, ‘nah bro.’

I’m sorry I drop threads. I’m sorry I don’t reply to memes. I’m sorry I ignore my asks. I’m sorry I plot things and then don’t do them. I’m an impulsive roleplayer: my muse guides me.

Roleplaying isn’t my job: it’s my hobby. I do it for fun. My muse isn’t my coworker: my muse is my friend. We have fun together. If I started treating this as a job, it wouldn’t be enjoyable for me anymore, and the quality of my content would diminish greatly!

And while we’re on the subject, just because a thread gets dropped does not mean the relationship between our muses is dead!! Thread =/= relationship! We can start something new and continue building their bond! Relationships are important to building new aspects of our muses!
