The combination of the recent Hobby Lobby ruling and the "unconstitutionality" of the 35 foot buffer zone around abortion clinics really sets back the progress we've made as a society regarding women's rights.Â
How can the Supreme Court with a straight face deem 35 foot buffer zones around abortion clinics infringing on the 1st amendment when they have a ~300 foot buffer zone around their building? How are corporations and unborn fetuses have more human rights than a living woman? To see comments like, "if you're going to have sex, then face the consequences of having sex without the expenses of others." It takes TWO people to have sex, but the responsibility falls only on ONE. How is it fair that women are penalized by the biology of their sex while men get off scotch free and then get to make decisions like these?Â
