Trying to fix this piece is making it worse, so I’m calling it quits. It was drawn oddly and it’s working against me. What a shame. (I’ll repaint it a year later like I do with every other picture w/Raistlin, watch and see lol.)

I’ll admit, I was (at first) apprehensive. Prior canon portrayals such as the animated film were.. terrible, and yet curiosity drove me on. I watched this version first, which is missing the opening. Later, I watched this version (which I believe is a collective release of all the talented actors and actresses who took part in the project).

Later still, I found myself actively killing time while checking in to see if krynn-dragonlance had added another translated section. Clearly I’d become infected, and certainly not unwillingly.

The musical itself is incredibly recognizable—I knew the characters represented, I understood the sets, and the music was beautifully refreshing.

I can’t remember if the animated film had music. If it did, I probably hated it.

The musical took up the story of Legends and portrayed it with obvious care, talent, and understanding. The translation held up as well; everyone who helped with that project has my thanks as I don’t speak Russian. (Fifteen years haunting around this place and I don’t speak Russian? I believe I should fix this.)

If I were able to thank them for their dedication and effort, I would.
