i'm gonna tell him

the morning feels different. not only because he’s not in his cabin as he usually is and he’s not alone. ever since elsa decided to move out, kristoff stays at anna’s a lot and while he misses his cabin, he can’t complain about it. they haven’t been dating for long and yet it feels like they’ve been together for years. maybe that’s why sometimes it feels so easy to just slip three little words when they’re talking. maybe that’s why sometimes he doesn’t know why he never said anything at all. 

“ what? ” he asks when he feels her gaze on him. “ do i have something on my face? ”

“ hey, boss! ” kristoff calls when he sees the figure of felix walking down the hallway. there aren’t many instances where kristoff calls onto felix, being the type of self-reliable employee. he prefers to do his work the best he can without bothering his superior unless it’s inevitable. this time, it seems to be. kristoff was a handy-man to a young couple for a couple of occasions to do some repairs on their apartment. instead of paying him at each visit, they asked to pay everything at once as soon as the repairs are all done. the only issue is: now that his work is completed, they refuse to pay anything. “ do you have a minute? there’s a situation with the prescott couple. ”

Tina stuck her nose stubbornly in the air. She hated to admit it, but Kristoff was right; she did like to know that she could be tiny and scary. It was her whole shtick. That being said, she didn’t much appreciate her height, or lack thereof, being brought to attention. “That may be true,” she stated. “But that doesn’t mean you should say it.”

She shook her head; if Tina said something was gourmet then it was gourmet, goddamnit! “How dare you say I have psycho taste buds. That’s, like, offensive. I’m offended. The Hawaiians are offended.” Tina huffed, plonking her elbow onto the table and resting her chin on her palm. “Okay, fine, I’ll take it back if it makes you feel better. We’re friends. Get me my fries.”

“ i’m daring like that, ” kristoff says, shrugging. tina probably knows he does it because it’s a sore spot for her. the same way she pokes him on his sore spots only to see him worked up. it’s the whole purpose to make fun of her tastes too. while not his favorite he could probably forgive anyone that isn’t tina for liking to dip their fries on milkshake, as revolting as the idea sounds to him. 

a cocky, satisfied smile spreads over his lips when she says they’re friends. he knows it’s a small victory and it’s a way for her to get her free food, but it’s still a victory. “ thank you for admitting i’m your best friend, ” he teases before getting up to retrieve their food. he gets a big order for himself as well and is balancing two trays when coming back towards the table. kristoff puts both of them down as carefully as he can. “ hey, just don’t expect a ring with those. ”

Sven was kind of old fashioned, in the sense that he rather sit down and let the others have fun and watch over them then just riding these rollarcoaster alone because for one thing, the guy had a slight fear of heights and second, he felt like he was a bit too old to be riding these things at this age anyways but he was happy to see his brother sit down next to him automatically folding it up to give him his utmost attention; “Yes brother but I was reading about an argument to say that they should re-promote it, which I guess is always going to be an argument isn’t it? Whether or not they actually do something-… I don’t see why they had to change it in the first place, it was perfectly fine being a planet until some idiot just changed it”

kristoff looks at sven, blinking a few times. he knows sven is definitely the smart one between the two of them and he hopes that sven can read the whole confusion on his face. while yeah, pluto not being a planet is a fact, it never occurred as interesting to him. he prefers working with wood and – anything else, really, than to sit down and study about something that isn’t gonna add to his work. “ scientists, am i right? ” he says. “ sorry brother, i don’t know much about it. justice for the little guy, though? ”

Donald glanced at the other man, nodding slightly. “That’s how I feel too. Like I’ve been stolen from my retirement home. I’m supposed to be young and fit, I don’t ever remember being a little shit at 18 like those three.” He pointed them out then let out a sigh and slumped back in his seat. 

kristoff looks toward the general direction donald points to, easily locating the three boys the man seems to be concerned with. he sighs in sympathy because yeah, they already come off as a handful and kristoff didn’t do much but look at them. “ your brothers? or – ” he lets the question hang between them. “ regardless, i feel for you, man. ”

anna: hey baby, I'm on the other side of the festival and elsa isn't well please come find us.

kristoff: are you okay?

tina: well push me toward the path of an oncoming car instead then sidekick!!!!!!!!

kristoff: so much anger n denial tina

kristoff: does u no good

tina: i prefer slasher flicks

tina: and you're about to be in one

kristoff: nope

tina: no! It is not romantic! It's embarrassing😥

tina: shut up!

kristoff: im nOT shutting up !!!

kristoff: dont b embarrassed its cute

kristoff: u shouldve run to the stage &all that

tina: he was not!!!!!!!!! it was not a serenade! That is not how serenades work!!

while crowded places aren’t the first choice for kristoff, he is happy to hold anna’s hand in public so the few odd individual that doesn’t know about them, has the confirmation of their relationship. that and anna is definitely in need of some entertainment and to leave the house – to which the spring festival happens to be perfect. it’s a bit tricky to kristoff, to deal with anna’s grief and general gloomy mood when he doesn’t know how to deal with his own feelings but anna hasn’t kicked his ass as of yet, so he thinks he might not be doing things completely wrong. 

“ what do you want to do first? ” he asks before taking her hand to his lips and placing a sweet kiss there.
