the Bad...Gijinkas? or, i guess, the Good Gijinkas club?
ehh whatever, i made sum human designs a few days ago woahhh (feat sketchs and design notes)

I also wanted to breakdown some of the design choices and their intent behind it (but tbh its really just an excuse to ramble about some of my personal headcanons i have if they were humans loll) but i didnt want to bloat the original post so imma type all that hereeee
Wolf: 🐺
one thing i thought it be fun to do with the designs is to make the silhouettes as close to the actual designs as possible. for example, wolfs hair and beard are somewhat one to one.
like i mentioned in the sketch, bro has not shaved in forerrrverrrr. 😭💀 but thats also just due to genetics. (mostly from his dad) i just couldnt imagine him not being a hairy dude.
fun fact! i gave him sneakers cause i saw this one bad guys movie concept art of wolf and he was wearing sneakers and i thought it looked cool :3 (also when i was done making the sketch i realized i just made him look like Bigby wolf from The Wolf Among Us and i could never unsee that 😂)
Snake: 🐍
if you couldnt tell i really liked @b00ks4-tbg s snake design, i pretty much just gave him the same haircut lmaoo. i just thought it was just perfect and fit him so well no notes.
i mentioned this in a reblog by another artist who made a snake human design, but i just always imagined snake being an amputee.
also bro does not have the best posture lmaoo.
as for the *shudders* socks and sandals. its actually more for practical use if anything. despite the bad posture, snake is surprisingly very flexible and pretty much uses his feet for pretty much everything things like how he uses his tail in the book/movies.
Shark: 🦈
another thing i also thought it would be fun to do was show off the characters personality more by how they wear their suits.
and i would imagine out of all of the gang, shark would be the most stylish. he is the master of disguise for a reason! he would be the only one who knows how to wear a suit properly, (hes the only one wearing dress shoes, suits is his proper size so theres not that many wrinkles, wearing accessories etc)
also his ponytail is suppose to resemble his shark fin :3
Piranha: 🐟
like i also mentioned in the sketch, the movies really struck that perfect sweet spot of piranhas fins kinda looking like hair but not going all the way. so i knew i should use that as reference. it was a liittttle bit of a challenge getting the look right but im pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
piranha is totally the kind of guy to have a gruff looking stubble so i added that.
and he still has an underbite in this universe <D
im sorry that you have to see his grippers out but i swear theres a reason 💀 like snake, piranha wears sandals for more of a practical use, he and shark still swim a lot and are really good at it. thus them being perfect for whatever mission there going on. so he just needs shoes he can take off easily.
(also once *again* when i done making the sketch i realized i just made him look like Chase Devineaux from Carmen Sandiego 😭😭) (side note: plz tell me someone remember that shows i used to really like it when i like 14 lol)
Legs: 🕷️
legs was the first design i conceived in my head and was the catalyst to me making the rest of the gang, so naturally making his design was a breeze! ...eeeecept this hair (its always the hair for me idk why man 💀) i was debating on whether i should go for the spiky hair or the shaggy hair cause i noticed legs hairstyle changes after book 3. but ultimately i decided to go for the shaggy hair cause it looks cuter sue me.
i KNEW i wanted to give him a backpack with claw hands!! cause like, of course he would build something like that! he basically had a tarantula hyperfixation and build the first prototype around his mid teens and slowly upgraded it along with his skills over the years, hes very proud of it and pretty much uses the claws a second pair of hands, you would pressed to see him not dawn his backpack on.
the top of the also backpack can shoot web like string so he can land down like a spider and the claws are retractable. (i put way too much thought into this omlll)
in this universe, legs still hates wearing pants, passable if you were an animal, not so much if you were a human, so he just wears protective shorts.
also his headphones and his freckles are supposed to represent his other eyes!
