+ the staring in disbelief that they exist and are with you

the warm hugs from the back, where they lay their head in the crook of your neck

hearing the vibration of their voice as they hold you tight in a hug

“you totally cheated”  “hey now, it’s not my fault if the laws of Uno are lost on you”

“are you checking me out?” “babe we’ve been together for 5 years. Of course I am.” “perv”.

“when’s the last time you cleaned this car” “when’s the last time you washed your filthy mouth”

“you need to slow down” “alright how about I break my leg, then see how you like all my backseat driving” 

the signs they give to check in with one another when they are at an event 

jazz country music lover meet rock n roll pop music lover

comfortable silence falling over them when they are doing the most mundane things together e.g laundry, dishes, etc

gossiping the minute they get together like a couple of ol’ fuddy duddies 

knowing they are the only person you want to go to bed with and wake up next to for the rest of forever.
