These top ten free 2019 iPhone apps won’t simply be abandoned once you download them, you might just use them regularly. 

I spent my time playing video games and scrolling endlessly through social media a while back. These dead-end unproductive habits led me to do a real self-intervention and I began searching for better things to do with my time. My love for technology led me to begin combing through forums on people's favorite apps and going through the App Store to find the best apps to use.

Consider downloading a few of these to up your networking game or get your daily dose of motivation.

Bumble Biz or Shapr - These two apps have your networking needs in mind. Connect with local entrepreneurs and artists to collaborate, mentor, or simply get together for coffee.

AppAdvice - Every day is a new set of three featured free apps that are normally not free.

Charity Miles - Donate to well-known charities without actually donating. All you have to do is walk and your steps will count towards money towards your chosen charity.

Brainscape - Smart flashcards with built-in premium libraries. I personally use this app to build my vocabulary.

PrayEveryDay - This daily spiritual app has a dose of positive prayer, no need to be religious.

Overdrive or Hoopla - Get free kindle library books through your preferred library. If you live in California, you can get a San Francisco library card and use their vast digital library.

Meetup - The meetup.com app that lets you join local groups from photography to writing, to business consulting groups.

Slowly - Get international pen pals to write and recieve letters.

FreePrints - Free pictures of your choice sent to you, no strings attached.

Waze - If you haven't heard, the go-to app for maps and navigation is Waze. Its peer-edited and uses users' driving data to help you avoid traffic, spot where police are hiding, and warn you of any traffic accidents.

If you have been following along with my blog you know that my New Year Resolution for 2018 is to take on 30 new habits.  One of such new habits is to take vitamins everyday.

There is a lot of resistance to maintaining this habit.  What is worth taking everyday anyway?  Fish oil?  A multi-vitamin?  I didn’t want to take vitamins until I came across Care/of.

I came across Care/of from another blogger and immediately felt in control of my vitamin regimen ready with the knowledge to take on this new habit unlike before.  

They have a research-doctor-backed quiz to find the perfect combination of vitamins customized just for you.  They ask you things like how often you get stressed and how healthy you are.  They are very upfront about what each vitamin does and say why you should take something based on your results.

You can do additional research through their website if you want to adjust your vitamins further.  They will tell you about the research that has been done, if it is Non-GMO or Gluten Free, the ingredients, and health benefits.

And if that isn’t enough you do not need a clumsy weekly pill container with a bunch of vitamins that do not even fit inside!  The packets come in a monthly dispenser, often customized with themes.  Now you get custom packaging that you can easily slip into your purse or travel case.  

If you are forgetting to take those pesky vitamins like I am go online or use their iOS app to delay delivery up to a month.

Each custom packet includes a fun fact to kickstart your day.  Today’s fact: In 1991, Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse, married Russi Taylor, the voice of Minnie.

Sign up for a chance at getting an Udacity scholarship here.  My experience with Udacity has been wonderful.  They selected participants for the Google Developer Challenge Scholarship and then selected from the people that completed that for a Nano-degree Scholarship.  I have fortunately been selected for their nano-degree scholarship and am already beginning the scholarship program this week.

Get a BS in CS online course ideas.  I’ve used this excel sheet to take courses in Computer Science, feel free to make your own copy and then use Trello.com to keep track of your course work.

Freecodecamp.com is a great resource for learning front end dev and then applying those skills to a nonprofit project.
