Raw Dublin aka Fred is an Irish photographer who I find extremely inspiring. I hope to take a similar image for the Movie poster assignment we are doing.

I have a great love for these towers as they represent home, they are so iconic that there would be a full day of mourning in the capital if they were ever knocked down.

This is the one movie cover that I always think of as my favourite. 

The Scene on the front doesn’t appear in the movie, but they make reference to the iron at one point.

I never really looked at movie posters as closely as I am now. Since I have been put to the task of making a poster for my own made up movie. I thought why not look at some of the best posters from 2019.

The Honest Truth

Illustrator Pan Cook creates heart felt cartoons, often to promote fundraising for charitable organisations or deserving causes. His cartoons are most well known for telling the stories of some of the many mistreated/murdered black Americans.

Simple Yet Effective

I came across this image on the Dangerous Marketing Instagram page. After further investigation I found that it was not created by Guinness, but by a freelancer named Luke O’Reilly who made it in a “One Minute Brief”. The brief was to create a pub poster with a stay at home message.

Waterford Walls

Street Art has been taken to new heights with the likes of Waterford Walls and the Subset groups. 

This piece is particularly beautiful, I really enjoy the doodle shapes that make up the bright colours of the cats fur. They remind me of something I might scribble on a page beside the notes I take in class.

Simple clear fonts convey clear concise information! 

Interesting to see the gradient and opacity has appeared over time from exposure to sunlight. Never buy a red car ;)

A brief summary of the rabbit hole that was endured thanks to this boring sign:

Don’t wash your car with dish soap, they make automotive car wash soap for a reason. 

Don’t wash your car in direct sunlight.

Don’t buy a red car, unless it’s a Ferrari as they probably use a decent amount of clear coat to keep the paint for longer. 

A fun use of triangles and diagonals for a song cover and it’s various remixes.

The original track utilises a monochromatic colour scheme and is the most easy on the eye. 

The Blue and Yellows for the MK remix is done in a complementary style, with colours from opposite sides of the colour wheel, which is a bit more in your face. 

While the Red and Yellow of the Joris Voorn remix is using warm colours which can convey a feeling of serenity, however this combination is loud and brash due to the brightness of the colours.
