My annual year in review: (2011) (2012) (2013) (2014) and now 2015!Â
If I had to give my 2015 an overall theme, it would be “confrontation”. 2015 was definitely a wake up call for me. This year reminded me that we’re constantly growing as a person and life will always be throwing curve balls out of nowhere. I experienced situations that made me re-evaluate and reflect on who I want to be as a person, who I want in my life, and what is important - even when I thought I figured it out.Â
Several unfortunate events have happened in the world. Other people in my life have also faced adversity this year, but I hope they become stronger from it, not bitter. Despite the downs, there will always be ups. I feel grateful that I still had countless of good times with my loving family and friends and I think that’s important. There were a lot of happy times, accomplishments, and new adventures for myself and for those I care about and for that, I am extremely thankful. Other points that specifically summed up my year:
Good health + self care = valuable and necessary
“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches.”Â
Don’t stress or worry over things you can’t control. Focus your energy on what you CAN control.
You do you. Those who support you will be there no matter what.
A quiet, simple, low key life = *thumbs up*Â
