I would like to change my thoughts about this hug. (previous thoughts here) I’ve been listening to a livestream about WOH concert from an expert from the field of entertainment, endorsements and psychology as well as dealing with censorship. I very much trust her judgement about this, and I found her argument very persuasive and logical. I think sometimes when I read a lot of social media it’s very easy to believe in what the majority of people are saying, and thereby ignore the obvious or what is real. (I think at some point I will have to spend time and sit down and take notes from her hours and hours of livestream, so that I can help share the answer to “How did this pass censorship??”) (I also think most people talking about censorship in China don’t know how it actually works, including me, so I’m learning as I go)

Soooo, for day 2, we "visited" ZZH + GJ's shared dressing room. I use the word "visited" very loosely as they just stood in this white room with a bunch of Cokes on the side. But it was cute, ZZH and GJ talked about their dressing room habits and some of their must-have items.

Being a good promotional celebrity, ZZH plugged...you guessed it, Coke (while GJ said he doesn't drink anything other than water lololololol okay you lil bb). ZZH said he keeps a few Cokes in his dressing room, and he'll drink it to warm up his throat because it's amazing blah blah. He cracks open a can and takes a sip.

At this point, MC says 人就直了!!!

ZZH choked and put down his can. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Direct translation: 人就直了 = Person becomes straight!

Either she's a really good ZZH fan or someone on her team is a great researcher; no matter what, she deserves all my love and perhaps a promotion as well.
