âI could help you with thatâŚâ
âYou want to have sex?â
Are those space pants? Cuz your ass is out of this world!
â⌠I donât see the lie.â
I must expel some seminal fluid. May I use your body?
âMaybe, if the seminal fluid youâre expelling is mine.â
âCreative but no. One is a crusty bus station and the other is a busty crustacean,â he said with something akin to a cackle.
He frowned as he mused over the answer impassively. âI believe my own suggestion was equally correct as far as comedy goes. I do not have a partiality to spoonerism humor.â

âWhatâs the difference between a dirty bus stop and a lobster with breast implants?â
The Kree leaned against the wall of his cell and curled his upper lip unappreciatively at the other inhabitant of Observation. âEverything besides all the plastic cups.â
âCanât say I disagree, but thatâs where these people are right now. We have to at least try to help them. Well. Most of them.â She wasnât sure Amora or Osborn were ever going to come back from whatever precipice their mentality was perched on.
âAm I one of the ones being helped? I know Iâm one of the psychopaths in here.â He hated hearing the ravings and cries of some of them echoing through the walls... Harry and Ruth were especially vocal. This was more than a place to keep dangerous individuals. It was a place to keep those too damaged to ever return.
Noh-Varr had initially expected to be tortured and locked away, and he resigned himself to that fate. But heâd tasted some hope heâd be able to return to the outside world. Both Captain Marvels had inspired him more than he could ever admit, and Kate Bishop had shown some interest and compassion.
Heâd been surprised and glad to be released during Ultronâs attack to fight alongside the others. However, he had dragged himself painfully away, alone, to lick his wounds and was promptly locked up once again, this time with far less hope than ever before. Noh was finally seeing himself as a tool to be dragged out and used whenever convenient, without any real hope of release.
Sam is about to speak, but pauses, mouth hanging open for a second. âRight, thatâs all well and good, but uh, could you clarify somethinâ for me?â He scratches the back of his head, âWhat in the hell is a terran and why are you killinâ âem?â
âA Terran is an Earthperson, and I was killing them because my crew and everyone I ever loved had been desperately transmitting distress signals the entire while they were brutally and efficiently murdered. Iâm a Kree supersoldier, and one of SHIELDâs psychopaths for their dumping ground, evidently.â
âMay âAh ask why?â
âI agreed to be arrested and taken into Observation because I was tired of running and killing Terrans. I donât wear restraints to this class for entertainment. What I find irritating is that Observation has become a dumping ground for all the psychopaths SHIELD picks up.â
âNeighborhood? I- sorry, excuse me what neighborhood, thank you?â
âDown here. Observation. Itâs where they keep all the freaks and supervillains.â

âAnd what makes you say that?â
âObservationâs become less a place for ârehabilitationâ than âCellblock Psychoticsâ. That was an attempt at sarcasm with truth, by the way.â
Pancakes?
Pancakes.
âWell, there goes the neighbourhood.â
Crystalia had arrived just in time to miss the chaos. She and Lockjaw had gone first to New York but when that trail had proved to be a dead end the two had found themselves in Washington D.C. The young Inhuman had never been to either place, and she was taking it all in while looking for Medusalith and Black Bolt. Well, Maximus too, but mostly Medusa and Black Bolt.
She was wandering the Institute when she saw the male approaching her. He appeared to be injured, and he was in handcuffs. Instantly, her mind went over a number of scenarios. She had never left Attila before, she didnât want to get in a conflict this soon. If anything, she was working for diplomacy. That was what Medusalith would have done. She would have aimed for diplomacy.
âExcellent.â Crystal nodded like she had a clue who he was or why he was going. âFirst, could you help me with something? Iâm lost and I need to find someone.â
He furrowed his brow and stared at her. âIâm under SHIELD observation. Iâm not supposed to be free,â he clarified, in case she didnât understand he couldnât be out too long gallivanting. âI know this place probably as much as you do.â
For a moment he hesitated, trying to decide what her scent was. It was not unpleasant, or even as alien as the majority of humans seemed. It wasnât even quite as strange and distinctive as mutants, and most certainly wasnât Skrull. âYouâre not Kree, are you?â
Sam, who had been looking for those who might have escaped in the confusion, mentally checked Noh-Varr off his list. âGood,â he said, nodding. âI can take you there, and Iâll provide proof that you were headed back there of your own accord.â It was true, he was headed back in the right direction towards Observation.
âThank you. I take it there were no permanent casualties in the fight?â He had no idea what erupted. It had been almost pleasant to speak with the other students he never saw from Observation, and then of course enemy robots had to attack. That was always the way of things.
He walked under escort back to the Observation block, a familiar case.

âoh, is this Observation? I must have taken a wrong turn.âÂ
âHow did you even get down here?â
Loganâs ears perked up at the faint sound of footsteps. Usually, the hall was an almost dead silent, just how he preferred it. It was a good place to get away from everyone when he didnât feel like dealing with people.Â
As he followed the sound he slowly extended his claws, his first instinct when something seemed out of place; and the footsteps were definitely out of place. He could tell by how they fell against the ground that it wasnât a member of the staff. They were far too light, as if it were someone who didnât want to be found. His suspicions were proven as one of the older students rounded the corner, nearly running into Logan.  âGood.â he growled, retracting his claws. He turned and walked the other direction, hoping the youth would leave him be. He didnât feel like playing chaperon. âMake sure you get there quick, bub.â
Noh-Varr glanced briefly at the claws, and he canted his head and inhaled sharply. This manâs scent was a great deal like Lauraâs. She had said she was a clone, so perhaps it was not too unusual. He was starting to get used to detecting the slight tang of genetic variants on humanity.
He circled around the other man warily, supposing him to be either a staff member he had not yet encountered or a guard, but either way he was not interested in prolonging what was clearly a tense encounter. He was trying to work his way out of the Observation unit on trust, after all.
âSorry about the glass,â he mentioned, thinking mostly of the window heâd crashed through to get in here from the Ultron battle that had occurred a few floors above. He edged away and resumed his journey down.
