Thanks! So I have considered a lot of fan-fic throughout the years, and only pulled the trigger once to write the Merlin story. Star Wars Saga Anakin Skywalker + a lesser known, possibly made up character. Thoughts: Growing up, seeing the Darth Vader force-choke awakened something in me--sort of the seeds of something erotic, before I knew what to make of it. I would probably place the story right before Revenge of the Sith in the timeline. Anakin is training, but he has trouble with meditation and other things. He's frustrated with Obi-Wan. An old friend who dropped out of Jedi training a while back and is now involved in night life and some black market stuff like drugs and strong alcohol, and he runs into Anakin. He's a bad influence, cajoling him to come out and party. Anakin declines, focusing on his boring Jedi meditations and stuff, but his willpower is only so strong in the long run... Harry Potter Series Dumbledore + Fenrir Greyback Thoughts: I know this is an unusual combo and people think I misspoke when I say it, since Dumbledore was with Grindelwald and people are surprised I gravitate toward the Greyback connection. However, I was always drawn to how Dumbledore was afraid of certain kinds of deaths--he specifically mentions to Snape that dying by Fenrir Greyback would be undignified. If I were to write this, it would be a variant where Snape can't go through with what he promised, Fenrir turns Dumbledore into a werewolf rather than killing him, and werewolf blood keeps him alive (Dumbledore was cursed by the Horcrux Ring that year, he thought it would kill him). That said, the lingering curse, werewolf blood, and Fenrir's manipulations screws with his head. He and Fenrir spin off their own faction and it creates a political mess where there's the Order (McGonagall-Harry), the pureblood supremacists (Voldemort), the Ministry (Scrimgeour), and the outcasts (Greyback with his most powerful power bottom). Harry is left confused because Dumbledore starts taking out horcruxes extremely publicly and sends an owl to him and Hermione, telling him to not bother with the Horcrux mission anymore and instead restart SPEW. Atlas Shrugged Dagny Taggart + Hank Rearden Thoughts: This would be an interesting one for me because I've never written straight sex and this is a straight couple. It's also true these characters are canonically together, so lots of the creativity would be in winnowing the story down to something more digestable for the average person (the book is what the young folks call THICCC), and spicing up the romance rather than having to reveal a new secret romance. I think I'm drawn to it because the satire elements in Atlas Shrugged are timeless, and Dagny is enjoyable on-page, but the non-Dagny parts of the book drag for me a bit and it would be fun to lean into my take on it.
