I've decided to unsubscribe from RuneScape. With the recent microtransactions update, it's lost its appeal to me. However, I will keep this blog updated and I will continue working on the Skyrim Daemonheim Mod. Hi, I'm Karl (Krayfishkarl in-game) and I'm 18. I started playing RuneScape in 2004. This is my RuneScape blog where I post anything related to RuneScape. I like RuneScape for its quests and lore and I am currently going for 99 Agility. I am also a member of the clan "The Scrying Pool" which is a lore and future update clan. It's got awesome people.

Microtransactions....

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to say no to this one. I'm talking about the recent Squeal of Fortune update where you can buy extra spins. You pay with real money for an extra chance to get more rewards. Not really the kind of game that I wanted to play. You should only gain an advantage in a game just from playing it, not from buying extra things.

I did promise myself I would unsubscribe if Jagex released microtransactions. Looks like they finally did and I must keep true to my word.

But I'm not entirely quitting. I'm just unsubscribing. Perhaps I will return one day when Jagex reconsiders this.

But of course, that's not going to stop me from working on the Skyrim Daemonheim Mod or keeping this blog updated. RuneScape itself is a good game but with this Squeal of Fortune thing, it no longer convinces me to have an active subscription to it.
