Okay, this guy was getting on her nerves.
āHey, punkass. You call yourself Lucifer, but youāve got no Pride under your sleeves. Canāt you trust that your Master can handle himself?ā Well, in actuality, she couldnāt trust Leon either, but so far he had survived greater nightmares compared to this so she was not in the position to argue at all. She couldnāt believe that they have the gull to give them suspicious eyes when theyāve approached them for the sake of stopping him for being an idiot and approaching the Banshees before it was too late.
Preventing the nonsense from increasing, Leon stood in between of the heated argument. To be frank, he recognized that kind of reasoning and the other Lucifer was correct. It was only a suggestion that came as the blond thought both Demons would be quick enough to give them better amount of salt to use. He didnāt have to explain that part as he thought it was obvious already, but another suggestion was fine too. āAlright, then weāll go find some salt together. Howās that?ā
āTrust and Pride do not always go hand in hand. You should know that. I do trust my Master to fend for himself to an extent, but you have not heard his thoughts as I have. Perhaps he will grow here and prove me wrong, but even so, I understand why I am his demon and he is my Master, so do not question my trust in him again. I. Am. Lucifer!ā He angrily spat out the last three words, and if not for Leon stepping in between, he would have continued. Questioning his existence like that right in front of his Masterāthe nerve! She of all the demons ought to know how that would feel to him. It was as if heād been slapped in the face.Ā
āLuciferā¦calm down. The banshees are more important right now.ā A hushed, telepathicĀ āAnd thanksā¦I think.ā was silently added.
His anger slowly fading, the demon looked over at his Master and sighed, nodding his head to show his acknowledgement.Ā
Nick, for his part, had been taken aback by the argument between the demons and chose to stay a few steps away, just in case it turned into a physical fight. Thankfully, Leon stepping in took care of that problem, but now they had a much bigger problem to deal with. The arguing and tension in the air seemed to have attracted the the banshees and brought them closerāor perhaps time was simply not on their side. Their screams were louder than ever, and he quickly reached up his free hand to cover his left ear. Up until now, he hadnāt known what they looked like, but as he stared through the trees, a maiden dressed in all white emerged. In this situation, it could only be one thing. For a brief moment, he froze.Ā
Luciferās lips didnāt move, but he got the message to his Master all the same. āA banshee! Master, the salt! Throw it before she screams again!ā
The banshee was right in front of him, and he was just close enough that he could make sure the salt Leon had given him made an impact. He pulled his arm back for the throw, and his fist shot forward, opening up just as the creature opened its mouth to scream. A little cloud of white granules exploded in the bansheeās face, and much to his relief, she was gone without a trace; vanished.Ā āI thinkā¦we need to find that salt now. Letās go.ā
ā END OF THREAD.
