I love havinf coffee with interesting people. ☕️ What I hate is being used or feel like I’ve taken advantage of others. 🙅♀️ In the last year, I brought coffee-meetings back into my life. I’ve been avoiding those for years, thinking that most often they’re just a waste of time. Turns out, I simply had the wrong approach. Here’s what worked for me: ____ • I know my desired out come, but try to not lead with it. I want to get those answers, but don’t feel like it’s fair for the other person to feel like they are on a tight schedule. It should still be fun for both of us! 🧐 • I prepare in advance & I hate secrets 🤦♀️ I do my research and possibly disscuss the purpose of the meeting upfront. • I ask quality answers. I don’t expect for someone to teach me magic of their work, I really put effort into picking their brain on the topics that interest me & brings that spark in their eyes. 🙌🏻 • I know when to leave. No matter how well the conversation is going, I respect schedules & try to end the meeting on the agreed time. 🗣 • I always, always make sure to follow up and thank for the time & knowledge I’ve been shared. If I ask for tips, but never try them out, I’ve only wasted someone else’s time and that’s, my friends, is simply rude. 🤝 ___ Building a strong community of eager-to-grow, hard-working people around you is the game-changer. Be open, share your passions & be thrilled to see where it’ll take you 💁♀️ https://www.instagram.com/p/B7HKgGyHe51/?igshid=qx6g4otou0rn
