I'm glad you noticed the details I wanted to show. When I was drawing it, I was like: 'Of course Punchline Cat would hold Opossum Joker's paw possessively.' And Opossum Joker just lets her. Punchline Cat is also jealous of Batdog, so she wants to show off like, 'Look what I've got!'

Probably no one else noticed the detail that Punchline Cat is showing her claws on her waving paw, but has no claws out on the paw holding Opossum Joker's paw.

Batdog's chain collar is actually very important... I really need to make some time to organize this AU's concepts and post them before making any new comics, lol. I'll add this to my to-do list and move it uuuuuuuup!

I found that ready life opossum’ ears are very thin, so it’s only reasonable they got torn during the fight. But it wasn’t painful so Opossum Joker didn’t notice that.

Batdog definitely ripped out Opossum Joker’s tail fluff during the fight. If he took out too much fur opossum Joker will get mad!

I think he would do it because 1, it's amusing to see Batdog be so cautious and shy, and 2, he likes feeling Batdog's paw in his pouch.

For Opossum Joker it's just another part of his body, nothing worthwhile to think of in any other matter than 'place of storage' for funsies whereas Brucedog takes it rather serious. He's more concerned on the aspect that Joker is a male that was born with a pouch, obviously a medical interest (aka science experiment #1) to anyone in Arkham who may take advantage of their doctor status to do more than they should.

Opossum being an orphan probably opened him up to a whole lot of other children who would ask him about it or randomly poke. I wonder if Batdog didn't touch the pouch at first but then when he dropped him off at Arkham and the screening process caused Opossum such distress he went into full aggro mode which made Batdog go 'aight I'll be checking that next time'.

Opossum Joker randomly hides silly, clownish stuff or extremely dangerous stuff in his pouch, so it's always a thrill for Batdog to search it!

I mentioned in that post that Opossum Joker loves having his belly (where his pouch is) rubbed by Batdog, but he is too shy and too proud to admit it. So, he creates opportunities to lure Batdog into putting his paws on his belly.

Opossum Joker never considers his pouch a medical condition; he just uses it as a convenient pocket. But of course, he is going to be amused by how seriously Batdog takes it.
