I can’t even begin to explain how important this pairing is. Even the tiniest bit of representation like this can change the lives of so many people, not only the lgbtq community. Are you doing this for 2016?

Well, for right now, this blog is serving as a memory of this day! Reading through it (mod @yakfrost here) always comforted me and I’m sure it comforts all the Korrasami fans who responded positively to this blog.

We never considered it to be something that was to be an annual thing - the thing about events like this is that usually they’re only a one time thing because quite a bit of work does go into planning...you only get married once, haha (not counting the fact that you can renew vows), and Korrasami’s anniversary technically just passed. Also, unfortunately, the more time that passes after a show has ended, the more likely the fandom is to lower in numbers or interest.

In any case, the main reason we don’t think we’ll be doing this again or organizing another one is because we’re not sure if all the mods would be interested in doing this again - some of them got into different fandoms, others are just too busy with other projects or their personal lives. We’re also not sure how much the fandom would be interested in it.

So, if you want to submit artwork again, by all means, feel free to do it! This blog will always be here. There won’t be any official advertising for it, however, unless the demand is really high.

The Korrasami wedding was a success, if I do say so myself 👌

The most surprising moment of the night in this cosplay was when one of the competing cosplayers in the masquerade (who did a fantastic job btw) was so overwhelmed with feeling when she saw us that she began crying tears of joy. Korrasami meant a lot to her, and while it was a bit awkward at first because what do I do to console her lol, I was really happy that we made her happy.

why is korra always the one "wearing the pants" in fan art?

I don’t know, maybe because she is a bit tomboyish? I don’t know about the other fanartists, but we always try to picture them as close as possible to their personalities on the show n.n’ Maybe she is closer to what society considers “masculine”. I think she has a ferocious femininity :) Asami may seem more delicate (because of the make-up, I guess?) but she is really tough. I mean, she transformed a destroyed airship into a sand-sailer! She’s like, an improved version of McGyver!
