For @intricatecakes and everyone who wanna try amazing bonewarming cheese soup!!
Ground beef (half a kg I have here)
processed cheese (rule of thumb: one container each for one liter of soup)
Now here is the important part: measurements don’t exist!! Don’t want mushrooms, great, leave them. Want more beef? More potatoes? More cheese? Go wild!
What you see on the photo is just the rough amount of things I usually use.
This will get you about 4 liter of soup!! That last me days! You also can freeze it and it’s still super delicious when warmed up!
1. Clean, peel and grate the potatoes.
2. Cook the beef till its no longer raw, then add the potato and some spices as you like. I’m using pepper, some garlic powder and soy sauce. Cook another 5 minutes.
(it’s not about getting the potatoes tender,they will get to simmer later anyway. It’s about working the spices in!)
4. Fill all of it in the biggest pot you have. There needs to be 2/3 of space on top, for the soup!
Cause I don’t learn from past mistakes and don’t have a big enough pot, I now have two.
5. Mix up some of the dry soup powder as the instructions say and add to your pot.
I add 1,5 Liter to each pot for now. (So if you have one big pot, add 3 liter) You can always add more if your soup ends up to thick.
6. Clean and cut your leek into rings, than add it to the pot!
Let all of it simmer for 10 minutes!
Put the processed cheese into the soup!
I got half plain cheese and half with spices. It really depends on what you like more.
Get aaaaall of that jummy goodness into the pot and gently steer till its fully incorporated!
8. Time to try it and add more spices to your taste and/or more water!
The soup is delicious on it’s own, but also goes very well with a slice of bread!
