And I don't mean just research sketches, but rejected designs especially! Even the season 3 artbook doesn't share the process behind the creation of many of its characters, even major ones.

Case in point, Lady Echo. Even if her season 3 and Oropo OVA designs had their predecessor as inspiration, the chances of them striking gold at the first try on both occasions is just too slim. And yet, there's no sign of any character research in either section dedicated to her in both artbooks, just her final design.

I can't be the only one who'd like to see the process behind them deciding to have her be able to tuck her wings away in season 3, or other possible looks for her younger self in the OVA.

Then, there's Amalia.

Her design was updated post-time skip, with a very different look than the ones we were used to. Yet we only see her other possible outfits if we stumble upon the behind-the-scenes videos promoting season 3. Same with her queenly outfit from season 4. Even if I can understand, though not forgive, its simplicity, I refuse to believe no one came up with more elaborate alternatives that were ultimately rejected.

Where can I find those?!

Even if Adult! Yugo's design was kind of set in stone since the Kickstarter, there's gotta be research sketches of him! How come those weren't included anywhere in the artbook?!

Really, in terms of visual development and key-storytelling, the season 4 artbook was such a let down compared to season 3. No real explanation of the overarching plot or the narrative surrounding the characters... Just technical talk for the most part.

And don't get me started on the utter lack of character research we got this time around with each new character.

No concept art for Nora, Efrim and Eliatrope, no sketches of alternative forms for Qilby, no tentative designs for Toross and the Necros...

(At least Toross has that one sketch, but come on...)

Really, is seeing the effort and process behind the final product that much to ask for????

Krozmic Winx Au - Trix

The Trix in the AU:

As in the original, these three unite to gain power (each needing it for different reasons) and share a familial feeling for each other. They don't interact with the Brotherhood of the Forgotten (if it even exists in this AU) and act independently. All three are now students of Huppermage Academy ;

Composition:

1) Icy, a Xelor. Local Count Harebourg, shares history and origins with him. The main difference is that she is much younger than the original and has a little sister. The leader of the team and the main support of her friends. Not known for her optimism, but she has a lot of determination;

2) Darcy, an Eniripsa. I was going to make her a disgrace, but changed my mind. She is a mere mortal, but very capable and magically powerful. The brains of the team, also acting as a kind of older sister, is very caring towards her comrades. Has religious trauma and a rather difficult past;
