Diluc coming back from snezhnaya having accidentally filled in for the missing 10th position 😭

Kaeya’s morals being so whack he finds fatuiLuc extremely hot. Like yes the man has committed several crimes and joined the organization notorious for how awful and cruel and unjust they are, and then committed even more and worse crimes, but barbatos if he doesn’t look sexy af in that fur coat and the fatui uniform underneath.

He now also has the power to fight any other harbinger threatening mondstadt with no risk of fallout and can manage the diplomatic relations between the fatui and the KoF himself, which is another win, since Kaeya knows he has Mondstadt’s best interests in mind.

Their reunion being during official business and Kaeya swooning at how much bigger and more powerful Diluc looks now. He’s wearing a mask, but Kaeya has never met anyone else with hair that shade of red and he recognizes Diluc’s voice even after three years of separation. He’d always carried himself with the grace and authority of a noble, but now with the position and power to back him up… hot damn.

Diluc breaks into Kaeya’s office that same night and wreaks havoc on both his body and his mental state.

Diluc would go absolutely insane omg. He was listening to Kaeya’s confession from afar just in case things took a turn (Kaeya knows he’s there, but isn’t very happy about it). Of course, as soon as the other person pulls out their weapon, he steps in. He’s extremely extra dealing with the person (which is why Kaeya didn’t want him to tag along), threatening to burn them to a crisp until Kaeya has to scold him, driving the point home that any word of this will result in them losing their head literally, and making Kaeya promise that he’ll never meet up with this person again.

after all the emotions settle, Diluc has a mini breakdown (also why Kaeya didn’t want him there). Was that what he looked like all those years ago, blade in hand and fury in his eyes? Did Kaeya freeze up the same way and nearly take the blow? The moment the someone pointed their weapon at Kaeya, Diluc lost any ounce of respect for them. How had Kaeya not refused to ever look in his direction now, let alone forgive him?

Kaeya has to remind him that the circumstances were very different then than they are now. Diluc was a teenager, he was grieving and in need of support, Kaeya was trying to provoke a conflict between them. And Diluc’s anger then had never been about Kaeya’s heritage anyway, but the fact that he lied for years and chose the single worst time to come clean about it. He’d never hate Kaeya just for being Khaenri’ahn. And lastly, Kaeya forgave him because he’s Diluc. Sure, the someone was important to Kaeya (I’m assuming if he felt the need to make the confession to them) and he’d rather not have lost that relationship, but Diluc is his everything, and he’d be nothing without him.
