What #jcole said is true #colorism obviously still exist. Obama is biracial and he is light skin so that had something to do with him being elected (rather selected) to be president. Also I believe J.Cole is trying to say that yes dark rappers are successful they are not as successful as lighter skin rappers and lighter skin can get away with things that darker skin cant. For example drake talks about love, and other touchy subjects that may be seen as soft if a darker skin male were to do it. Its almost as if darker skin males have to act more aggressive and go to the extreme to be notice. #justathought
