Taehyung, a boy in your sociology class, would call you that all the time. βPianos are beautiful if you know how to use one.β Is that he would tell you all the time.
Maybe heβs saying you could give off the most color, but havenβt figure yourself out.
Or he might be saying youβre dependent on others to show potential.
Either way, you didnβt care. That boy just spits out nonsense most of the time, so you wouldnβt recommend anyone in trusting his piano logic.
Though he wasnβt wrong. You were begging to suddenly stop existing, or a while time freeze thatβll make you sleep forever. Like, fly into space for a moment and break from your cycle.
βPiano girl.β He winked at you before he sat down. βAre you good at dancing?β Taehyung asked.
βI wouldnβt say Iβm good at it.β You answered.
Taehyung smiled at you. βDo you know what it feelings like to float? Like swimmingβbut itβs February, and we DONβT do drugsβand you know, dancing. Dancing makes you float.β He explained.
You just sat there. What did you say to weird thought of βfloatingβ?
βDance with me.β Taehyung said. βItβs like, skydiving. But instead, weβre not falling. Floating.β He continued to explain. βLetβs go together, Piano Girl.β
Floating, a perfect opportunity for a girl glued to the ground. βOkay.β
It was the same day you saw the boring dance room. You wanted to go home, and strongly regretted agreeing to dance. Dancing was hype, and definitely not floating.
βDo you have color?β Taehyung asked. βYouβre like a little robot. A little robot piano girl who lives monotone, and is stuck with a weirdo like me.β He grinned.
βLetβs just dance.β You said rolling your eyes. βI donβt know how to dance.β
Taehyung took out his little speaker. βDonβt worryββ He started to play soft piano music. ββthis will be easy! Piano music is just about floating.β He said winking at you. βAfter this session, youβll beg to dance with me again.β
It was awkward at first. Slow dancing?
His hands at your waist with yours on his shoulders. The both of you were out of sync, and it was scary. Like an 8th dance, no one was feeling it. βSink into it.β He whispered.
It was like magic. The more you moved with Taehyung the more together you became with him. He was lift you up, and you wouldnβt separate from his touch.
The music was colorful. The most color youβve ever heard in your life, and Taehyung was glowing. Glowing with color.
βI donβt want to stop.β You asked pulling him into a tight embrace. βWeβre too in unison to stop now.β
You begged for a moment like this, a time stop. The more you were dancing with Taehyung, it felt like time was no longer with you. Freedom.
βYour colors are so bright.β Taehyung said in awe. βYouβre now a playing piano!β He said picking you up and spinning you around.
Obviously, the dancing came to a halt. But, whenever you could, you would dance with Taehyung. You would float with Taehyung.
It was a connection you thought you never needed.
