Love your art dude! I had an interest in drawing when I was a kid but haven't had any motivation or skill in like 15 years. I'd really like to change that but am having a really hard time getting through the part where I just can't draw for shit. Like, I'll see art that I think is bad and get discouraged because I know that I couldn't even do that, much less anything actually good like your stuff. Any tips or advice for someone who is old and bad that just wants to draw cool mecha catgirls?

Hey there! Thanks for the message (and compliment!). Try not to measure your self worth based on what other people are doing, the trick is really to just do art for the enjoyment of making it. I totally get that sometimes its hard to turn that off because yeah, there are a lot of really talented people out there making some cool stuff and its like “wow I can never compete with that!”. I go through this quite a lot myself but try to really push it back and remember that my artistic journey is not going to be the same as someone else’s, that really all I can do is do my best for myself first and foremost!So try to tune out whether someone is better or worse and create just for the fact that you have the power to make something out of the ideas in your head! Just draw those cool mecha catgirls or whatever else you feel like drawing and just keep going at it! The only way to get better at something is to keep doing it and don’t give up!
