i started reading Harrow the Ninth and I think it’s so interesting how the pov switched from 3rd limited in Gideon the Ninth to first person in this book. It’s always a little uncomfy for me reading stuff in first person and idk if that just me, or if it’s intentional because it fits. I think it really help sell the kinda “insanity” that Harrow is feeling. I can confidently say i was not expecting this series to be so dark. anyways unreliable narrator of the fucking century.

AHHHH I LOVE MY LESBIANS

I actually freaking LOVE IT when two very separate plot points come together in a book. 1 because it makes the story come to life a little more but 2 because it’s just so fucking funny. Reading about Adam careening his shitty car across town alongside a psychic ominously flipping through a deck of tarot cards while a Mitsubishi that belongs to his secret admirers sworn enemy is being actively stolen and screaming down the highway past him and picturing him craning his neck back to look in bewilderment has me absolutely crying.

Date idea: going into the ancient forest, confessing of dreaming up said forest, getting his not-so-kid out of forest, swimming in the pool of acid, saving your date and his kid from the said pool of acid, running away
