I got a request to do a Bunnymund x reader where he tries to confess his love but can't. We agreed to make it a 5+1. Also sorry , if it gets confusing this the the first time that i've ever written a 5+1. :)
5 times Bunnymund tried to confess his love and 1 time you did
1. It was just after North had called everybody to his placeto discuss something. Bunnymund was a bit excited considering the group hasn't been together in so long. As he got out of his portal and into the workshop he looked around to see who all was there. As he looked he saw you on the couch in the lounging area. He felt his heart race a bit, as he has had feelings for you for the longest time and he has been planning on telling you about his feelings but hasn't had the courage to do it. Whenever he did have the courage to do it something always came up before he could tell you.
He slowly walked over to where you were sitting and when he got close enough decided to clear his throat so as not to scare you. You quickly turned around and he saw your eyes light up as you quickly got up and walked over to him. He stiffened up as he felt your arms go around his shoulders as you pulled him into a hug. He felt his face start to heat up and smiled as he put his arms around you and returned the hug. After a minute or two you slowly pulled away from the hug and he wanted to pull you right back in but he held himself back.
"It's been so long bunny! How have you been?" You ask as you look up at him. He feels his heart skip a beat as you look up at him. "I've been good, how about you?" He asks as you two walk back to the couch and sit down. "I've been good, a bit busy but you know how it is." He nods as he looks around the place wondering where everybody is. "North's in his office if you're wondering and the others haven't gotten here yet," you explain. He nods as he looks back at you. "C'mon man you can do this, you can tell them how you feel." He thinks to himself.
"Y/N I-" as soon as he starts to talk again you both hear a feminine voice come from behind you. "Y/N? Bunny? It's so good to see you guys again!" You both turn around and see Toothiana standing a few feet away from the couch. "Tooth it's so good to see you too." You say as you get up to hug her. Bunnymund sighs as he gets up to hug her as well. Soon Sandy comes in and finally North comes into the room so he can tell you why you all are here. Bunnymund looks over at you while he talks. "I'll tell them another time," he thinks to himself as he listens to North talk about the new guardian.
2. After the group lost Sandy you all decided to to take Sophie to the Warren, where you could all regroup and come up with a plan while keeping her entertained. As you were all sliding through the tunnel he could hear your laughter and started to smile. As you were coming out of the tunnel ready to fall, you felt strong arms wrap around you, stopping you from face planting in the dirt. Bunnymund knew that the trip was going to be bumpy for most of the group and as he came out of the portal he saw you falling. He quickly put his arms around you quickly to stop you from falling.
He looked down and saw you looking up at him. "You okay?" He asked. "Yeah thanks," you said smiling up at him. He smiled back and you both stood there for a little bit until he realized that he was still holding you close to him. He quickly let you go and cleared his throat, as he went to go see if the others were ok.
He smiled as he watched you play with Sophie and helped her paint paint some eggs while the others helped in other places. He was so distracted that he didn't hear someone walk up beside him until he heard a laugh. He quickly turned and saw Jack looking at him with a smirk and a knowing look in his eyes. "You know it's rude to stare right?" He said as Bunnymund felt his face heating up, realizing that he got caught staring at you. "What do you want Jack?" He said with a sigh, knowing that he was never gonna let him live this down.
"Nothing, was just checking in to see how you were doing." Jack said as he looked over to you then back to Bunny, his smirk turning into a soft smile. "You should tell them how you feel." He said as Bunnymund's eyes widened at his words. "I don't know what you're talking about." He lied as Jack laughed. "Well i'm gonna go check on the others," Jack said as he started to walk away. "Hey Jack?" Bunnymund said. "Yeah?" He asked as he turned his head towards the bunny. "Thanks," he said as the boy gave him a smile. "Don't mention it kangaroo," he said as he turned and continued to walk back to the others. Bunnymund sighed, shaking his head at the nickname as he walked over to you.
He saw you turn your head as he got closer and saw your smile widen as he bent down to sophie's level and started to talk. "How's the painting going along?" he asked her as she turned to him. "Good, look what Y/N helped me paint!" She said excitedly as she showed him the egg that you and her painted. "Wow, that looks amazing, you did such a good job." He said with a smile as he ruffled her hair, causing her to start giggling. "Can I go show the others the egg?" She asked him. "Of course you can," he said as she smiled and ran over to show the others the egg. "Cute kid," you said as he turned his head over to look at you, seeing a big smile on your face as Sophie showed the others what she painted. "Yeah she sure is," he said as you turned your head back towards him. "Listen Y/N, about what I wanted to tell you earlier." "Yes?" they said as they looked him in the eyes. "I-" Neighing could be heard in the distance and you both looked towards the direction of where they came from. "Come on, we got to go get the others." You said as you both stood up and ran towards the group.
3. (Sorry this part is a bit short) He was devastated when he felt himself start to shrink. He could feel himself start to lose his powers. He looked over to you and you stared back in shock. You ran over to him and fell to your knees and held him in your hands. "I'm so sorry about this Bunny," you said. "It's okay Sheila it's not your fault, you tried everything you could." He said as you looked into his eyes. "I promise we'll fix this." "I know we will Y/N. I um... also have something that I have been meaning to tell you." You look at him with confusion, wondering what it could be. "What is it Bunny?" "I-" he paused wondering if this was the right time. "I am thankful that you are my friend," he said. You look at him with surprise but then smile as you say, i'm happy that you're my friend too." "I'll tell her later, when i'm back to normal," he thinks to himself.
4. You had all arrived in town to find Jamie. Everyone is currently waiting for North to finish checking on his sleigh before you guys went to look for the kid. After he finished checking on his sleigh he turned to everybody and said "Okay everyone, let's get into pairs so we can find Jamie's house quicker and so if Pitch attacks then you won't be alone. Bunny, you and Y/N go check down the street, Tooth and I will check around here. (I know it's stupid since North and Tooth would already know where his house is but I needed a reason to split them up) I also want you all to know that I am so thankful to have known you all. Alright now lets go find Jamie!" You all start to seperate as Bunnymund and you start to walk down the street, checking houses as you go, to see where Jamie is.
As you check the houses he sighs and starts to shake his head. "I have to tell them how I feel, this might be my last chance." He thinks to himself and hears you you say "what's wrong?" He looks up at you and says "nothing's wrong, i'm completely fine." He knows you won't believe him and the next words that come out of your mouth confirm it. "Bunny, I can tell that you're lying," you say as he continues to be quiet, not wanting to worry you with his problems. You finally sigh as you say, "look Bunny we've been friends for years, you can tell me what's bothering you." He sighs, feeling his courage build up from your words and says, "you're right, I have something that I need to tell you." He pauses as you look at him silently, nodding for him to continue. "Y/N, I lo-" his words are cut off as you hear neighing and see Tooth and North running to you.
5. It was near the end of the battle, Pitch was almost defeated. If it hadn't been for Jack showing up with the kids and Sandy returning then you all would have lost. You were taking down a group of nightmare horses on a part of the street while Bunnymund was taking out some on the other. Bunnymund was too busy focusing on protecting the the children and defeating the horses, until he heard you scream his name. He quickly turned around to see you running towards him. He was confused until you pushed him and an arrow went through your side. His whole world felt like it went into slow motion as he watched you slowly look down and touch your side which still had the arrow in it and was bleeding profusely.(I don't know if they bleed or not) He saw you take your hand away from your side and look at the blood that was covering it. He saw you look back up at him and heard you whisper "Bunny," as your eyes started to close and you started to fall.
He quickly got out of his trance and ran to you and slid forward as he caught you in his arms. "Hey, hey look at me you're gonna be okay," he said as he lowered you into his lap and started to put pressure on your wound to stop the bleeding. He looked looked up towards everyone as they noticed that you were severely injured. North had told the others to keep fighting as he quickly ran over to you guys and kneeled down to see how bad the injury was. As he touched the wound you hissed and started to look down to see it. Bunnymund saw this and quickly put one of his hands on your face to take your attention away from it. "Hey, hey no you look at me okay? Keep your eyes on me." He said, his voice starting to quiver. You nodded as you looked back into his eyes, watching tears start to form in them.
"Hey, it's okay, there's no need to cry," you said as you put your hand on his face to wipe away his tears which only caused more to fall. You were still worrying about him, even when you were the one injured and not him. "You're the one who's injured, I should be the one comforting you. Not the other way around." He said as he smiled down at you. "It's no good, we're gonna have to take them back to the workshop," North said looking up as the others started to make their way towards you, Pitch having disappeared after being defeated. Bunnymund nodded and stood up with you in his arms, they all quickly made their way towards North's sleigh while trying to keep you out of the kids' sights, so as not to frighten them. "Tooth, Jack you two stay with the kids, Sandy, you're with me and Bunny.
Everyone nodded as Sandy, North, Bunnymund, and you got into the sleigh. North and Sandy sat in the front while Bunnymund and you sat in the back. Bunnymund layed your feet on the other side of the seat while he kept your head in his lap. The sleigh quickly took off towards the North Pole with North driving, Sandy keeping an eye out to make sure nothing is following you guys, and Bunnymund trying to keep you awake. "C'mon sweetheart stay with me, we're almost there," Bunnymund says as your eyes start to close again. "Y/N!?, C'mon please stay with me please! I love y-" are the last words you hear as your eyes finally close.
1. You slowly opened your eyes and started to look around. Memories of what happened before you passed out returning to you as did so. The last memory being you passing out in Bunny's arms. As you look around you noticed that you were in one of the spare guest rooms at North's workshop. You also noticed a sleeping Bunnymund by your bedside, he was in a chair right next to your bed. He was bent towards your bed with his head slumped down and his eyes closed. His chest was moving up and down slowly with his breaths. He was also holding your hand in one of his soft ones. You smiled as you admired him.
You started to sit up but was quickly stopped by a stabbing pain in your side which caused you to gasp. This also caused Bunnymund to wake up as his flew open and he quickly looked over to where you were laying. "Y/N?" He said as if he couldn't believe his eyes. "Hey Bunny," you hoarsely said with a smile. He quickly helped you sit up and grabbed a cup filled with water from the nightstand and gave it to you. You gladly accepted it and chugged half of it down. You gave it back to him and he put it back on the nightstand.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, worry evident on his face. "Like I just got shot with an arrow," you said, trying to make him smile. He shook his head and sighed. It's not funny Y/N, you almost died." He said looking into your eyes. You stopped smiling, feeling awful for making the joke. "I-" he sighed, "i'm sorry, I didn't mean to get onto you, I was just so worried about you, but now you're okay." He said but it sounded more like he was trying to reassure himself instead of you. You smiled as you grabbed his hand and placed it on your chest, right over your heart so he could feel your heartbeat. He froze for a few seconds as you did this but slowly relaxed as he felt your heartbeat. "I'm okay," you said reassuring him.
The room was quiet for a few minutes as you both sat there in comfortable silence. "I have to tell you something," "there's something I need to talk to you about," you both say at the same time. This caused both of you to start laughing, "you go first," you say to him and he shakes his head. "No, you first, I insist," he says to you. You sigh knowing that if you didn't then you two would be going on like this a while. You mentally prepare yourself for what you are about to say to him. He takes his hand off of your chest and takes yours in it, squeezing it, which comforts you.
You both keep eye contact as you say "I love you, I have for so long, i'm not even sure when I started to fall in love with you." You started to ramble, not noticing how he was staring at you with wide eyes and a large smile on his face. "And I get it if you don't like me back or don't want to be friends with me anymore, I just thought that I should let you know since I almost di-" You were suddenly cut off by a pair of lips kissing you. You sat there for a moment in surprise as Bunnymund slowly pulled away from you. "I love you too," he said with a smile as you suddenly snapped out of your stupor. You smiled back and put your hands around the back of his neck and pulled him into a kiss. The kiss was slow and full of passion, you were both putting years of feelings and yearning into it. You felt his tongue touch your lips and you opened your mouth. The kiss started to get more heated as you both explored each other's mouths. You both finally seperated and stared at each other with smiles on your faces.
You both heard a cough come from the doorway and looked to see the rest of the gang watching you with smiles on their faces. You and Bunnymund both started to blush as Jack started to laugh. "So I take it that you are feeling better?" North said with a smile as everybody entered the room. Toothiana walked over to the other side of the bed and leaned down to give you a hug which you gladly returned. As you were hugging her you felt a searing pain in your side which caused you to hiss in pain. She quickly releases you and they all look at you with worry as North walks over to you and checks your bandages. While he was doing so Jack starts a conversation. "So you and Bunny huh?" He says with a smirk as you both look at him with wide eyes. You nod as Toothiana pipes up. "We were all wondering when when you two were gonna get together." Sandy agreeing as a thumbs up shows up over his head. North finishes checking on your wounds and the topic changes. As everybody talks about the recent topic, you and Bunnymund both look at each other and smile, happy to finally be together, surrounded by the people you love.
