Keith is just a commoner who falls in love with Shiro and wants to be with him. The only way he can do that is if Shiro either leaves Adam or cheats on him. Shiro knows about Keith’s feelings towards him and was actually the one who suggested Keith be his Mister-ess. Even though Keith’s “job” as that was to have sex with Shiro, there was way more emotion in their fun times then there should’ve been.

Shiro in the AU also loves sometimes having both of them together. Of course later on Adam actually warms up to Keith a lot more and vise versa. Keith and Adam start getting more intimate on their own free will; sometimes this involved sex.
