First therapy session was amazing. Therapist says she's 100% sure I am autistic and can easily see it. I've been brushed off by multiple psychologists and psychiatrists who say "you look normal and have a job so I don't think you're autistic"

This is huge for me. I've known for years and have been fighting to get someone to listen. It's not gonna be on paper unless I see a specialist and go through an assessment but I'm not sure if I want it in my record or not. (Told her I'm afraid the government will use that against me lol)

Right now, it's enough to hear an actual psychologist tell me I'm autistic with absolute certainty. I can't even explain how freeing it feels. I can finally stop feeling the "what if I'm wrong and faking it" nonsense.
