A pyromaniac is someone who has an uncontrollable impulse to create fires. The erratic behaviour is typically linked to the psychological disorder known as pyromania, where the individual feels a strong, persistent urge to ignite fires, often deriving from pleasure or immediate gratification from the act.
However, it is not arson. which involves deliberately setting fires with malicious intent.
You had him all wrong. All this time you had thought he was trying to be a jerk to you, but he had just been struggling. You wondered how much would be different if you had been less involved in yourself, but you also knew that a lot of his behaviour hadn't been brought up yet, but you were willing to take this step in the right direction. He couldn't look you in the eyes, ashamed and embarrassed from what he had just admitted.
You felt bad, you didn't even know why he had stopped talking to you, but you didn't particularly try to help it either, you stayed quiet like you usually did instead, waiting for him to come back to you when all he needed was someone to ask him how he was. You had assumed his actions were callous, but they only grew from your neglect towards his feelings.
"I didn't know.." You started, trying to wrap your head around that sudden lore drop that truly changed the entire way you viewed the past three or so years around him. He shrugged it off, "yeah, I know you didn't.. it's not like you could read my mind or anything." Mitch finally met your eyes, it made your heart break when you saw his glassy and dark. Mitch was never really a hugger, but that didn't mean he didn't want any. He was kind of contradicting like that, there were lots of things he disliked but wouldn't mind doing. It made him all the more interesting in your opinion.
"Y/n?" He hesitated before you felt his arms slowly wrap around your figure, his hands locking together on the small of your back as he leaned into you.
"Im sorry." You whispered, holding onto him tight. He was stiff in the hug, on high alert before his shoulders finally hung, his head resting against your shoulder slightly as he listened to you quietly. "I'm sorry too.." he croaked.
It went silent after that, but somehow more words seemed to be expressed through it anyway. You couldn't recall the last time you held someone so close, and had them return the nearness. His touch had you forgetting how to breathe, it seemed like the both of you were touchstarved in a way. Too shy to let go, afraid to slip away and never feel that warmth again. But it had to happen sooner or later, didn't it?
You had decided to only ease up once Mitch started to pull away, but he didn't seem to want to let go, instead, he only held onto you tighter, firmly pressing his hands into your back. You felt your heart leap out of your chest, your cheeks beginning to tingle. This side to him was something not a lot of people got to see, so you felt special being able to see it and feel it once again. "I'm sorry I assumed the worst in you, for so long..." you atoned, feeling him take a long, deep breath in. "It's fine, it was hard to see anything else.. especially when I actively decide to prove you right anyways.." he let out a small laugh. You shook your head slightly, "Well, you just proved me wrong."

You swallowed down your nerves and sat down beside him, watching him carve into a stick he had found. "Hey," you mumbled back, flickering your gaze up towards his eyes. "What's this going to be?" You quizzed, watching his eyes glimmer from your interest. "I was going to try and make it like a spiral." You couldn't help but notice that he seemed to be somewhat on edge, though you weren't completely sure why.
"Is something wrong?" You raised a brow, watching him take a huge knick out of the wood. "Fuck. I just ruined it." he grumbled, "no, nothing's wrong." You bit your lip, "sorry, I just... if something is wrong you can tell me, I have a feeling you wanted to talk about something?" You probed, not exactly wanting to stop until he answered your question. He scoffed, "you know me now?" You rolled your eyes, surprised when he cleared his throat. "I just feel bad, I guess." he sighed, "I didn't know you thought I hated you." You wanted to snap something back at him, something like "how could you not have known?" because all he ever was to you was an asshole, but obviously it was becoming apparent he didn't think he was being any type of way towards you. It made your blood boil in a way you didn't think it could. You weren't a mad person, you barely spoke up until recently. So why did something so simple that fell out of his mouth in the most gentle way make you want to scream at him?
"I didn't have anything more to believe." You began, trying to find the right words before he scowled at you. "Yeah, me neither." he articulated back, making you lose your train of thought. As it quite literally felt as though a train had hit you. "what?"
He just shook his head and looked away, resorting to silence which he knew you hated just as much as he did, "Mitch." You tried to redirect his focus back to you, but he only kept staring off into the distance. "What do you mean by that? What did I do?." You tried to rack your mind for anything, but you were blanking. Much to your dismay, he got up and turned his back to you. You sighed, assuming you had accidentally hit a nerve with all your questions, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude at all." You tried to console him, getting up from your spot on the couch.
"Could you just stop talking? please?." he snapped.
You felt winded, confused as to why he went back to the old Mitch and not the Mitch you had gotten to talk to the night before. You didn't want to admit it, but it did hurt. You didn't understand why he would say something like that but wouldn't explain himself afterwards and then get upset at your apology, but it was seemingly none of your business. He was once again just toying with your emotions, making you feel cared for and then pulling away without warning. Just like how he did before.
"Mitch." You asserted, using a tone you didn't regularly resort to, but you were sick of not speaking up, and maybe it would make him smarten up. "You don't get to just say that and then decide you're not going to explain anything or talk to me. If you have something you want to say, just say it. but don't bring up things without being ready to talk about them, it's just hurtful." He finally turned to look at you. You could see he was understanding what you were saying, but you really just wanted to get away from him now. It was hypocritical and all, especially after basically telling him not to run away from his feelings... and then doing the exact same thing.
He went to open his mouth to retaliate before you shook your head. "No, Maybe it's for the best that we don't have this conversation right now." You felt your voice waver, "Just come talk to me when you're ready." You spun around on your heel and ran off towards the bell tower."Y/n! Shit, hey wait up." You heard him call, but you weren't exactly sure why he had even come after you. All you felt was frustrated tears making themselves known as they clung to your lower eyelashes."Mitch, take your time, I don't want to bother you." You deadpanned, watching him groan and rub his face."No, god why does this have to be so difficult." He kicked a stray piece of rock with the toe of his shoe. "Just well, we were fighting then so I stopped talking to you.. because I needed space. Sometime around then was when Mason got swarmed by walkers. I got really stuck in my head, I watched him get torn apart." You could hear the pain in his voice as he relived that nightmare, it hurt to see him try to remain strong. "I didn't want to lose anyone else. I know that sounds like bullshit because of how close I am with Willy, but that's different you know? Everyone here looks out for him... But when it comes to you, fuck." He rubbed his face again, looking down. "I couldn't handle the thought of losing you, even while you held me every night. I never forgot how kind you were. And I'm sorry I never said anything, this is just a lot. Even now." You stared at him quietly, not sure what to say. "Thats not all," he paused, "but this... I just... This is a lot already." You nodded, taking a step forward and wrapping your arms around him. "I am so sorry." you mumbled, "I should have checked in on you more. I took your grief personally."

Morning Frost

You woke up with the warmth of sunlight hitting your face, just enough to make you stir. You had slept oddly peacefully all night. It had you in a bit of a daze as you realized that you weren't in your own room. In all honesty, you had briefly forgotten where you were for a moment before you sat up, immediately looking over to see Mitch's disheveled bed without him in it. You hummed, slightly disappointed that you had slept in so much, Something Marlon would definitely not be very fond of.
You groaned and swung your legs over the side of the bed, fighting to get your shoes on before getting up and glancing around. He had random things scattered everywhere, sticks carved in beautiful ways, carvings of animals littered on the trunk at the foot of his bed. You couldn't help but smile at his excellent crafts, remembering a few of them from the many nights spent by the fire sitting with the group. You weren't exactly good at carving things, but you were most proficient with a needle and thread. It made you wonder if Mitch had anything you needed to patch up now that you two were on good terms. You couldn't help but notice that a few of his coats had gotten completely wrecked through his scavenging trips. Maybe once you found him, you could propose the idea to him.
You decided to go and find where he had gone off to, and from the look of frost on the edges of the windows, it was relatively early in the morning., maybe early enough for Marlon to not lose his patience with you, as it was your third time sleeping in within the span of two weeks.
You made your way outside and saw Mitch talking to Willy. He looked amused, especially when Willy started cackling about something that you couldn't make out. You always enjoyed watching them interact, fondly recalling how Mitch had welcomed Willy so passionately and basically called him his own. Managing to get the poor kid into more trouble than he did back at home. When new kids came to the school, they always thought that the two were brothers, you always couldn't help but agree even though you knew they were not.
"Heyaa Y/n," a singsong voice chirped from behind. You spun around just to see Louis, glaring when you saw the stupid smirk on his face, which ensured you were in for an earful of senseless teasing. "What do you want?" You tried to be nice, but the words came out quickly. You watched him gasp and throw the back of his hand on his head. "how you hurt me with such rudeness... I only wanted to see how your night was!" You smiled slightly, "wouldn't you just love to know? how about you go ask Mitch." You suggested. He stared at you with pleading eyes, "he won't tell me a thing! you know that!" You shrugged, "not my issue, sorry." He crossed his arms like a child and huffed, "fine. I will." he stuck his tongue out at you, flipping you off as he walked towards the two boys. You shook your head and crossed your arms. "Good luck!" You joked, sitting down, still wondering what was wrong with Mitch the night before.
You made a note to ask him before you heard Louis screech. Almost immediately you laughed when you saw Willy chasing Louis with his arms out. "Don't you dare!" he caterwauled, running past you. "Y/n help me! Have mercy please!"
You guessed the noise alerted Marlon swiftly, because the blond walked out through the main doors and sighed with disappointment. "How long has this been going on?" he asked, sitting down beside you. "ehh.., not that long."
You snorted when Willy finally gave up, Louis dashing off somewhere into the school to ensure he was safe. "Maybe next time Will!" You called, watching him smile. "yeah tonight!"
You glanced over at Mitch, feeling your heart leap out of your chest when you caught him staring. His eyes were shifty yet warm, his lips pulled upwards in a crooked grin. He gave you a wave, seemingly offering you a spot beside him for a chat. Marlon glanced at you, "I see you guys rekindled something?" You looked at him and caught sight of the smile he was giving you. Now you knew who truly meant to ask Mitch that dare last night. "Don't." You hissed quickly, getting up as he let out a little laugh. "Have fun." He chuckled, you gave him one last glare before going over to Mitch nervously. "Hey... Y/n."

You two had gone back to his room shortly after everyone had headed into the school, you listened to him talk about his god forsaken obsession with bombs.
He always loved to tell you this one story over and over again, no matter how many times he told you, you couldn't get enough of it.
You loved watching his eyes light up, pride noticeable in his words when he talked about how he had exploded almost half the science lab in a green paste.
You laughed along with him quietly, making our way back to his room. It was strange talking to him normally again, but you definitely didn't mind it at all.
You two walked into his room for the second time that night, shivering when he closed the door a little rougher than intended. "Sorry," he muttered, making his way to his bunk bed, untying his boots. Staring at him with a sudden interest on why he was giving you such a cheery smile, you just had to pray the world wasn't ending for a second time.
You went to go sit on the other bed, he pulled you over and sat you down beside him. "You know," he muttered, "I didn't think you'd even try tonight." You huffed, rolling your eyes playfully. Of course he had assumed you'd be lukewarm after your prickly encounter with him, "Well one of us had to." You teased, "You may have come to get me, but your frustration at the fire was definitely noticed." He raised a brow, "What?" He scowled, scoffing when you shrugged. "Y/n." You only smiled at him, knowing he knew exactly what you meant. "If you don't have the guts to explain yourself then don't say anything." You couldn't restrain yourself from laughing, "That's bright coming from you." He pushed your shoulder, "Oh shut up." You wanted to wipe the smile off of his face, but you couldn't help but notice how taxed he looked. "we should go to bed now.." You started, kicking your feet a little as he paused to answer. "Mitch?" You glanced at him, watching him blink hard."Huh? oh yeah... yeah, we should, shouldn't we?" You wanted to ask him if he was okay, you knew it was apparent on your face once he gave you a nervous look, you decided to ignore it, walking to the other bed that you were going to sleep on that night. Though you felt a bit odd staying in his room, you knew Louis would have something to say in the morning if you didn't. You laid down and watched him get comfortable, a sigh forcing its way out of his mouth. The room was dark, so dark you could blink and see things, but not dark enough to miss how he held onto his face, a frown evident on his lips. What were you missing from his side of the story? You wondered silently as his breathing grew steady, his constant movement under his blankets coming to a halt. You rolled onto your back, staring up at the top bunk above you. Perhaps you had a thing for making bombs too, just not in the way that he did.

Your heart skipped a beat once you realized he was being serious, maybe you were reading it wrong, but you were pretty sure that he was offering you more context. So you nodded along, "So then why do you act like it?" You quizzed curiously, watching him shake his head with a snort. "You're impossible." You shrugged, "That's the first time I've heard that, so I don't believe you." Mitch rolled his eyes. "Right." You stared at him curiously when he glanced away suddenly, growing a bit confused when he put his knife to the side and cleared his throat. "Mitch??" He looked at you, "so if you don't hate me.. why are you ignoring me?" He scratched the back of his neck, "you sure ask a lot of questions.." his lips trembled into an unsure smile.
You got up and crossed your arms again, "so? I just want you to answer me."
"What if I don't want to answer you?" He raised a brow, his smile becoming wide. You stared at him for a few seconds before sighing. "You're such a jerk." You growled, your eyebrows knitting together with frustration. Was this guy serious? Was he not going to answer you? Well, it seemed about right. You huffed and sat back on the bed across from him, looking down at your shoes. "So, what do you want to do to kill time?" It was a genuine question, but you couldn't help but let your mind wander. Enough of that, and quickly! "Well, I don't know? Sleep?" You smiled at him, watching him snort. "Sleep?" You nodded, "got an issue with that?" He shook his head, You could tell he was amused. "You asked the question, what idea did you have in mind?" You teased, watching him grab his knife again. "Well, I mean... All we have to do is spend the night together. We can do whatever we want" You nodded as he got up, walking towards the door. "Cmon, let's go outside or something, it's boring in here."
Quickly, You followed him out the door, letting him lead you outside and towards where the bell tower was. "I love this place.." You mumbled, glad to have a place away from the conniving kids who were all probably still playing cards with Louis. "Yeah, me too." He muttered, walking up the stairs and checking back every once and awhile to make sure you were still there. You two climbed over the side of the top of the bell tower, moving onto the side of the roof and sitting down, staring up at the sky above. Now that you weren't worried about the card game, you really got to see the stars and take them in. The silence between you two was comforting, neither one of you spoke, afraid to wreck the mood. As the sky continued to darken, more stars came from their hiding places, twinkling to let you two know they were there. It was right there that you decided that you would let Mitch open up on his own time. Now that you had made it obvious that you wanted to talk about it, he would maybe let you know why exactly you two stopped being friends. Maybe you had done something that you had forgotten about, or maybe he genuinely wasn't ready to tell you what had been going on. For the longest time you thought it was because he had lost his friend Mason around the same time that you two had stopped talking, but he hadn't changed at all when it came to Willy, who Mitch loved like a younger brother and was always looking after him.
You glanced at him slightly, barely realizing he was staring back. As long as you two were done fighting, you could be patient with him. You scooted over to him, holding eye contact with him before he slung an arm over your shoulders. "Wow... so smooth" You joked, laughing when he looked away with embarrassment evident on his face. Despite that, he didn't pull away at all, "oh I get it, you're cold." He glanced at you, shaking his head. "Oh my god," Mitch rubbed his face, "No, I'm trying to let you know that I don't hate you, or something along the lines of that." You nodded, glancing off towards the treeline past the wall. You still weren't sure why you were comfortable so suddenly, but you could not complain about such a thing, not when his companionship was all you had been wanting ever since you began to stop talking. "Looks like they're heading in, which means that the night is over for us," you mumbled, straightening out when he let out a laugh, "It's getting too cold out here anyways," He agreed.

That night at the campfire, Mitch sat across from you, staring at you observantly. He knew he was the only person who knew how to make your brain tick, it annoyed you far too much. He was the only person you talked to when you were upset when you two were younger, so when the other kids saw you quietly distancing yourself from them, they thought nothing of it. But Mitch? He knew he had hurt you earlier that day. "So, what happened today?" Louis smiled at you and then Mitch, "you both seem a 'little' tense."
"Shut up Louis." Mitch snarled, "Nothing happened." Violet rolled her eyes, "sure seems like nothing." You melted into your seat, growing uncomfortable when everyone looked over at you, hoping that you would say something. All it took was Mitch giving you a look for you to decide not to, "Nothing happened." Violet stared at you with disbelief, "oh c'mon." She whispered, watching Louis start to flamboyantly pull his deck of cards out. "Truth or dare anyone?" Marlon sighed, a smile on his lips. "Couldn't hurt, sure." Louis shuffled the cards, dealing them out. The person with the highest card got to ask any one of their choice a question. You stared at your card, disappointed when you saw a two of hearts in her hand. You all played for a while, long enough for the stars to appear and for everyone to start getting reckless, the questions becoming embarrassing and unbearable. Occasionally someone would throw in a truth or dare, keeping everyone on their toes. "Hm," Louis smiled, looking around at everyone before his eyes landed on you.
You already knew what was going to happen when You caught Louis looking over at Mitch with a mischievous smile. "Mitch, truth or dare?" He smiled again, watching him shake his head. "Dare." "I dare Y/n and you to spend the night together. Maybe overcome some of your differences." The group bantered amongst themselves from the sudden wave of excitement. You made eye contact with Mitch, not expecting him to look so crossed, but you could see something curious within his gaze, something that intrigued you a lot more than it should have. "I don't know about that one, Louis," Mitch started, Louis interjecting with a shrill noise. "You can't say no to a dare Mitch!" Louis charmed, laughing at him. You got up and walked off towards the main building, wanting to clear your head. Louis could be a real pain sometimes, always digging into other people's business when it wasn't needed. You would have laughed it off any other day, but after your not-so-much-argument in the forest, you didn't have the patience to deal with Mitch. You walked through the main part of the building, making it to the open centre of the school, crossing the path towards where the dorms were. You turned the corner towards where the girl's wing was before a hand tapped on your shoulder, making you jump. "Y/n," Mitch's voice came out stern. "What?" You sighed, pulling from his touch before turning to look at him. "Can we talk?" "How about you make this easy for both of us..." You mumbled with annoyance, mocking him before he groaned. "Don't do that now, c'mon." You rolled your eyes, following him to his room. "'Are you going to kill me?" You taunted, walking in before him as he held the door for you. His room was definitely his, random things all over, the double bunk beds in disarray. You glanced at him before going and sitting down on one of the beds. Watching him sit on the bed across from you, feeling rather nervous as he stared back in silence. "You're pretty mad at me, huh?" He whispered, watching you digest what he was saying nervously. "I guess so..." You muttered with a nod, "yeah. I am." He awkwardly pulled his knife out and started playing with it, trying to pass the time. "I don't hate you, okay?" You stared at him with disengagement, not believing in a single word he had said. "Yeah sure, you sure act like it." You crossed your arms, raising a brow when he shook his head, "Well I don't." "You stared at me like you do." "Y/n." He gritted, his cheeks becoming soft pink "I don't. I swear I don't."

The patrol had been barely successful; the two of you were too tense to even think about hunting. It was only around noon when Mitch finally managed to shoot a rabbit. "Fucking finally." He mumbled to himself, picking the thing up by its hind legs and throwing it over his shoulder. You found yourself looking away with annoyance when he tried to meet your eyes with his. "Why do you think I hate you?" Mitch started carefully, "because." You wanted to finally talk to him, but was cut short when you saw a grey hand dart out from behind him, the familiar sound of gags and groans filling your ears as you watched Mitch begin to struggle against the walker, throwing the rabbit to the side. Quickly, you pulled your knife out, jumping at the walker and tumbling to the ground. Your knife was nowhere to be seen when you flipped over, pressing your hands against the cold shoulders of the dead to keep its mouth from tearing away from your neck. You let out a few panicked breaths when it drew close to you. The sound of the skull being impacted by Mitch's knife made the hairs on the back of your neck stand as you rolled the dead body off of you.
You tried to regain your breath as Mitch stared at you silently. Glancing up at him when he reached out towards you, offering you his hand much to your surprise. You took his hand gratefully, since your legs suddenly felt like jello. Letting him pull you up onto your feet, bristling as he scoffed with annoyance. "Seriously? I was just fine."
"Just fine?" You snapped, catching him off guard. "I put up with this not because I can, I only do it for the group." You pressed a finger against his chest, pushing it against him hard. "You're pathetic, Mitch. If you hate me, you should just say it. You're so aggravating. One second you're fine ignoring me and the next you're being a pain." He went quiet and shifted on his feet, "I don't hate you." He mumbled, obviously not wanting to talk about it, despite bringing it up again. "Then why does it seem like it?" He shrugged, picking up the rabbit, inspecting it for any bites. "I don't know, hate isn't the right word for it at least."
"Fuck you." You grumbled, beginning to walk back towards the school. It had been this way between you two for far too long, always prodding at each other but never getting to the root of the problem. "What the fuck? No, don't walk away right now." He tried to stop you, but you pushed him away. "So what? You want to talk now?" You wanted to rip your hair out when he cocked his head to the side, giving you one of his charming smiles, one that you had not seen in awhile. "And you don't?" He goaded, making you bite the inside of your cheek; he was right, yet you couldn't find the strength to talk to him about any of it. You walked past him, and he let you, sighing and tailing you the whole way back.

You had woken up stiff and tired, having spent the night staying up far too late, playing some stupid card game with Louis and Brody. You came to regret it all too quickly the second you started walking, stretching your stiff limbs as you made your way outside to see everyone huddled together. The snow had melted, but frost still lingered in the shadows of the cobble-fenced school. The clouds of chilled breaths were visible to the eye. Making you groan as you went and sat down beside Violet. Just like her, You had always been quiet; people tended to forget that you were there. But you didn't mind at all. You had long brown hair that Brody made you tie up in a braid or bun, milky skin that burnt in the sun and you had honestly forgotten the colour of your eyes, though You suspected they were a deep brown.
You took pride in being sneaky, being a little weird when it came to talking. It had always been that way. You were sent to Ericson's Boarding School for Troubled Youth only because your silence always came with a price to pay. Whether it be stealing from everyone you knew or managing to sneak around your own house and get into things you weren't supposed to, you had always managed to get away. You were just the only possibility of those things going missing, like 500$ off of your father's debit card.
You listened as Marlon started calling out the assigned jobs for the day. He was the leader of the group, kept the place organized and kept people from fighting each other. Ever since losing Violet's girlfriend Minnie the year before, he had been far more strict about safety protocols. No matter how frightening he could be, there was never a time you had ever felt unsafe around him.
You were beginning to feel worried out of your mind when he didn't call you down for your usual job assignment. "Mitch and Y/n, you two can go hunting. Try to come back with something, we barely have any rabbit left for dinner." you felt sick to your stomach when he called your name, glancing over at Mitch who was glaring daggers into Marlon. "Seriously? With her?!" He growled, making you frown more than you already were. Marlon rolled his eyes, "what? You have a problem with her?" you hated that Marlon had to ask him that, since it was painfully obvious that Mitch would make it a clear yes.
Mitch only scowled at you, getting up from his spot at the table and leaving to go and grab one of the bows from the old P.E. shed. "God what is his problem?" Louis sighed dramatically, glancing over at you with a kind smile. "Brighten up Y/n, he's like that with everyone. Totally not a morning person." You nodded and quietly went towards the gate. It didn't matter to you if Mitch was a bit rude when it came to people; he had always been that way ever since you were younger. Just never really with you. Something changed when you all started turning 13 or so, and it was the end of the world to you. It had changed the way all of you interacted with each other, and had somehow irreversibly damaged the friendship you had with Mitch. He had dark brown-hair and beautiful green-eyes that turned bluish during the winter, though you wished you got to see them without him glaring at you. He had olive-skin, so when you were kids he'd always mock your sunburns and insisted that you needed to reapply more than you were. The sudden memory made you smile uncontrollably.
He marched over to you, opening the gate and storming through without even asking if you were ready to go. You had to roll your eyes at his dramatics. Following him begrudgingly, "Mitch." you called out with annoyance. It was when he didn't acknowledge you that you ran up beside him and gave him a look, scoffing. "You're an asshole. You know that?" you snapped, regretting your little outburst the second he stopped to glare at you. It was cold and distant; the kind of gaze he gave to people he disliked. "Want to tell me something I don't know?" He muttered angrily, trying to give you a fair warning, which you ignored. "You're an asshole!" you hissed again, "You obviously don't know it. Because you're always like this." Your hands clenched into fists, his eyes navigating your face before he clicked his tongue and turned away from you. "Whatever. We don't have time for this." With defeat you followed him, "Mitch. Just, slow down." You tried again. The way he ignored you made you want to strangle the daylight out of him. He must have known it hurt your feelings. You were never loud unless you were upset anyways, and you only ever seemed to be loud around him. "Just make this easier for both of us," he started coolly. "Be quiet, like you always are." You felt your lungs shrivel, you couldn't believe the nerve he had, but you also couldn't bring yourself to retaliate. The more noise you guys made would surely attract walkers, and that was the last thing you needed with a whole group of people to feed.
You gave him exactly what he didn't want; You went silent and bit your tongue, busying yourself by scanning through the forest, trying to see anything worth trying to shoot down. Mitch loved making bombs, out of plenty of things, including people. He loved making people snap, even if he wouldn't admit it himself. He walked through the bush ahead with disappointment, hiding it from the eyes of the forest, but not from yours. "Why do you hate me so much..." It was barely a whisper, so quiet you hoped he hadn't heard. But he did. He turned to look at you as if you were stupid, "are you serious?? fuck, can we just do this later? We need to hunt." You nodded in agreement, but your mouth opened too fast for you to stop the words from flying out, "you're just saying that, so you don't have to talk about it."
"Then deal with it." He cut you off, knowing you wouldn't get the last word in. You sighed, going back to paying attention to the clearings again.

This book is and will be primarily written on Wattpad as that is the place I am most comfortable writing, however, I am giving Tumblr a try because why not!
This book contains Graphic and Mature Content.
If you are not looking for either of those things in a story, you may want to skip this one!

For Mature themes I will give you a heads up before the beginning of the chapter just to let you know whats going down, so keep an eye out for any disclaimers or trigger warnings!
