Don’t have a pet but wish that you could be covered in fur? Try knitting with mohair!
AFTER TWO MONTHS I AM FINALLY DONE WITH THE BACK OF THIS VEST. yes it is all embroidered. freehanded, drew a sketch on the vest with sharpie and then just went at it. i still have some stuff im doing on the front + another pocket to add and then im dying some linen and using that for the lining. may add a fish skeleton to the weird flap at the top.
A complete and ethical guide to dyeing wool with plants, mushrooms, and lichens from the Pacific Northwest.
Can I interest you in backing this awesome book? If you back in the next few hours (it's currently 5am July 9 2026) you get a bit of a discount on the physical book.
This is going to be such a great resource, and the dye materials discussed also occur outside the region.

playing around with some more radial-symmetry socks and man i'm so happy with how these turned out :D might do some more tweaking but i think i've got the basic structure ironed out!
(also i'm working on writing up a proper pattern for these and would love to get some feedback/concrit, so if you'd like to give these a test knit, lmk and i'll send you a draft of the pattern!)
Id love to test knit!! No promises on how long it'll take me, but I adore them and would love to make them. If you have enough testers or need it done fast though, I'll just wait to buy it when you release!

Never let a difficult stitch know that you think you figured it out. It will take that as a challenge. Don't let it know.

Love from loss WIP 2024
So you remember those pockets I wove into this fabric couple months ago? Back then I was charmed by the idea that I could hide a small item in there - I could give this fabric a secret that is part of its structure and impossible to get out unless you break the fabric itself.
So I wrote this little poem, a gentle call out for being curious enough to break my beautiful hand woven linen fabric and messaged my lovely sculptor/jewel smith friend.
Yesterday we were finally able to realize my vision! These tiny bronze plaques are made to hide in the fabric - peeking through shiny enough that you see that there is something there to tease at your imagination but - impossible to get out or read without breaking it.
My "Transparencies" quilt took 1st in category (pieced modern traditional) in my guild's recent show!
This was my first big guild show and while I hoped to place, landing in first was a happy surprise! I've also entered this quilt into an upcoming juried show (also my first), so keep your fingers crossed for me.
made a basket and then made a fawn and lo and behold they are perfect for each other
I was so excited to be done and yet
AND YET
I forgot to do several lines of stitches in the lower part there.
The main tears are indeed complete. Most of it is complete. I'm so very tempted to call it quits. I won't, but I want to.
It has to be a bazillion stitches! (At least several thousand I'm sure)

My final for the first year of my fashion and textile course :] fossils cardigan featuring living fossils like coelacanth and lots of dinosaur bones. Big love letter to palaeontology and natural history. Got super into my knitting machine but I wasn’t very adept with it yet so I sort of crocheted around the edges of my pieces and sewed them all together, and crocheted some edges/ribbing. The buttons are handmade from polymer clay. Used some second hand gold yarn I found in a charity shop and a whole bunch of mixed variegated wool together. My most ambitious project yet I completely just did not speak to people for that final month I was working on this ðŸ˜
