@hauntedmystic con. from here Face becoming paler, Armitage replies, “Don’t be ridiculous!” His bright eyes momentarily widen before he scowls at Kylo. “Do you not think I have an unending list of tasks to complete already, without you adding nonsense?” Well… After a bit more thought he does realize this could be his chance to prove to Snoke that even without absurd magical powers he is twice the man Ren could ever be. “And how long exactly do you expect this mission to require?” he asks as he more seriously considers the partnership.
Kylo Ren smirked as Hux face twisted as he was talking himself into the others wish.
"It usually doesn't take me long. However, General, I am sure your men could spare you for a few days." Clicking his heels Ren step away.
Calling behind him, "I'll wait for you by my suttle."
If he doesn't show in an hours time he'll leave. Kylo Ren told himself. Smuggly thinking of what excuse Hux will give once he returned.
An hour came and went, and Ren had personally checked over his shuttle. Making sure the canon blasters were armed and the sheilds were in pristine working order. He didn't carry airs to leave manual labor to others. Which had protected him from assassination attempts in the past. Jealous rivals were every where, which made Ren wonder if that was another factor in Hux's career.

“Ren, when are you going to let me design a lightsaber for you that isn’t a piece of trash?” Armitage asks.
A laughable suggestion. If it were up to Hux the weapon would be a blaster and he would have commission it to misfire and take Ren out.
"Are you disappointed with my results, General?" Kylo Ren said, "I was unaware that my count had falling back under the same your troopers were making combine."
Armitage longed to understand how a kyber crystal worked. Damn Kylo Ren and his secrets. If only he would let Armitage examine his ridiculous laser sword, he knew he could engineer such a better version worthy of the First Order.
“It’s so annoying. Obnoxious—just like you. And what purpose is the silly hilt? How are you not burning yourself on it?”
Was the fool trying to bait him? Ren smiles under his mask, pleased with himself for not succumbing.
"Well you've never locked blades before." Ren said, cryptically, about his cross gaurd keeping his knuckles from being knicked or his hands from being sliced off.
Actually.
Kylo Ren considers the General for the first time. "Tell me, General, do you fight? I don't recall ever seeing you hold a blaster or engag with your troops on the battle field."
Yes!
The more Ren tried to recall even hints of his former glories, even by mouth, he couldn't. Ones that would have been needed to get anyone as close as Hux came to power.
“That’s the thing, Ren. You wouldn’t see me.” Armitage replies. “I have plenty of experience with my sniper rifle.” Smiling fondly, he recalls, “You remember the assassination on Coruscant at the governor’s ball? That was me.”
Although it did wound him to learn Snoke had not shared his accomplishments with Kylo Ren… It wasn’t as though he was seeking his validation.
So what the hell was he doing?
"Impressive." Ren says, clearly not.
"Which I am pleased you finally be told me, General. I do need another keen fighter for my next mission." He says, the idea taking root in his attempt to mock him.
But it wasn't fully a lie either. Ren was tasked with another personal errand on behalf of Snoke. Althought it was one Ren could mange on his own.
"Need a moment to change?" Kylo Ren says, giving Hux a sweeping look over at his spotless uniform, "I can wait for you by my ship."
Waiting for the excuses to come, even a lame one. How Hux was too important to be put in the line of fire. Or even a scoff.

Kylo Ren charges at the vision. The curtian of rain obstructes the finer details. She could have been a ghost. For there is enough death around him.
But Ren knows enough, like she is young, poorly dressed for the moon, unarmed and rather pretty. She stumbles backwards. Just as stratled by him and calls out. What does he want?
His mind was still plusing from the blood lust he just commited. The smell of blood wafted through his helmet. But his body is on autopilot. Stepping away from his Knights and towards her. A hand out ready to grab. "You." Ren says, he wants her.
And his hand reaches and stretches in to thin air. Having spooked the vision away.
Ren looks down at his hand. As if expecting an awnser.

If It Wasn't For You~

There was a sense of impending doom. One that Ben could not shake. It seep into everything. Blurring the edge of his vision. It shorten his temper with those around him. Push his hand to do something foolish and rash. It tasted metallic in his mouth filled with contempt. You know the truth, my boy.
Ben looked to his meditation to clear it. Only finding his thoughts a jumble of things. His regrets on his last missions, his arguements with Luke and above all her.
Rey started to haunt his dreams. A dream that never seem to end. Only extending in his next fitful sleep. It shook him violently from his sleep, dripping in sweat.
Help me, he called out into the void. The void awnsering back.
You know what to do.
Do what? Ben buried his face into his hands, defeated.
You know. You already know what you're going to do.
Ben left his hut needing to do something, anything. The rain finally was cleared up. He could hear the Younglings training in the distance. The wild life sang on the wind. Gathering their food before the rain would return and chase them back inside.
A lone signal cut through space. Like a thin cord tugging at Ben's navel. Moving his feet up the slippery slopes and towards her. Rey. "I didn't see you when I returned." His fist unclenched itself.
Unlike everyone else, Rey enjoyed the rain, so she hadn’t rushed to hide when it had started only to come back out when it stopped as most did and it showed. Her clothes were drenched and the hair she usually kept up in buns was over her shoulders instead. Something about the rain helped clear her thoughts. Like the water was washing away every worry. Even if the feeling was only temporary. She’d been taking in the scent for just a moment longer when she’d felt a familiar person approaching. She turned to see Ben.
Rey found herself smiling, almost as if she’d been caught doing something she shouldn’t. If Ben is mad, she surely wouldn’t notice in her state. Instead, her head tilts. That smile brighter than two tatooine suns as her hands moved to her hips. Amused or appalled by his question was anyone’s guess.
“Maybe if you came out in the rain every once in a while you’d see me, huh? Didn’t know I needed another parental guardian or whatever.” Rey was jesting, after all, Ben wasn’t that much older than her. Yet he still seemed to hold that air of someone who was much older than they really were. Was it the weight of the Skywalker Legacy? She could only imagine.
“So … how did it go? Your mission? I want to hear everything.”
Ben stared at the water droplets trap in Rey's buns. They glittered like stars in the night sky. How the loose strains of her hair came undone from her updo. Clinging like vines arcoss her brow and temple. Becoming almost hypnotized by her. At the flushness in her bright face. How her lips twisted when she spoke. How pink and soft the skin looked on her bottom lip.
Ben leans forward, like he was falling towards her gravity, being stopped by Rey's question.
How did it go?
Ben pulls back and stares down at his feet, "Master Luke doesn't trust me. He doesn't trust me on a missions. Let alone at being a proper knight."
"Even with-" You.
Ben's words dried up in his throat.
What are you doing? He thought to himself.
