"Le Tambour Blessé" was painted in 1826 CE. The painting portrays a wounded young drummer boy lying on the battlefield, tended to by a compassionate woman. Through light and poignant realism, the artist captures both the tragedy of war and the humanity that survives within it. It was created by Horace Vernet (1789-1863 CE), a French painter renowned for his military scenes and depth.
