whenever i think about human Hornet, certain Tang dynasty hairstyle comes to my mind. that might just be because the Tang dynasty is a big intrest of mine, but you can't deny the similarities... this + considering the fact that she can produce silk, and silk was invented in China, i felt it would be somewhat accurate to draw her with asian features. this specific hairstyle seems to be most popular when depicting women playing polo in masculine clothes, something widely acceptable in the Tang dynasty but probably pretty scandalous in the centuries leading up to and following that time period, so i think it fits a strong character like Hornet. or maybe there's no correlation at all and i'm just trying too hard to squish 2 of my interests together... i do that a lot. anyway, hope you like it!
