Why we should value words
Today I heard something, and it opened my eyes a lot: âWords arenât wort that much anymoreâ. And that made me think a lot. Itâs true.
We hear so much and today, so little is true. We have gotten so used to false information I catch myself not even trunsting my friends to tell the truth. And that is so scary because if all we believe is what we have seen proven in real life, we miss so much.
Yea, people talk a lot. We talk about things we wish we were and things we will never be. But is that a bad thing? I donât think it is bad at all. Because at core, what are we? We are what we think. You can literally change our bodies and all our abilities, transfer our brain into a different body, but the essence of us remains. Or at least, our true essence remains.
We often think our abilities are what makes us up. That thoughts are nothing and only actions will be remembered. And that is so sad. Because what are we when we do nothing? Are we worthless if we do nothing? I think you can see the problem here.
There is so much beauty in people and we credit it too little. Beauty isnât our outer shell or what it can do. Beauty is in our views, our opinions, our dreams and hopes. Beauty is in what we tell people at 3 am. Beauty is something anyone is born with. And words are one of the few ways we have of articulating it. Words are a way to make our beauty memorable. And that is why words are important and so, so precious.
