Here’s a list of ideas for areas you could add to your island! They range from pretty simple/common to unusual and unique! Also a lot of them are cottagecore inspired but some are a little different! Comment your cool island decorating ideas if you have any that aren’t on this list c:

By now I think everyone in the community has seen The Path by @Denim2_mori. It’s such a nostalgic throwback to the old AC paths that I wanted to use it immediately on my new island. However, I’ve also fallen in love with the color of the dark dirt in NH, so I merged the two, and recreated the path in a deeper, warmer color. Full credit to Denim2_mori for creating the original path!

I then realized I like having leaves or stones and other debris on my paths, and set out to create more options for each slot. 

You can mix and match, or stick with a set. 

I then added even more options, like a narrow single-tile path, an overgrown center path, and little spots where the path looks like it’s peeking through the grass. 

Basically you need 9 slots for the full path set, just like the original, and then as many more as you want for options and/or details. 

For clarification, I have @Demin2_mori’s permission to share. Also, they linked me their tumblr (CHECK IT OUT!!) and they have incredible artwork!?! Go flood them with praise! :)

I made a few earthy, moss covered stepping stones for my forest town! 🌿

i made some natural stone paths!

i wanted something that wasn’t too repetitive, so i made 10 different designs: 6 bigger stones, some with moss or cracks, and 4 smaller ones which i use to make the shape of the path flow :)

they’d look great on any woodland themed islands or anywhere for a more natural look 🌿
