One thing I am really good at is growing hair. I have cut my hair for donation on five occasions.  My good friend Sydney Green has two wonderful sons (I hope my sons grow up as wonderfully as hers have).

One of her sons wrote the book The Fault in Our Stars.  A beautifully written, young adult novel.  His book is being made into a major motion picture and the actress portraying Hazel, Shailene Woodley, is cutting her hair this weekend for the movie and to donate.  A movement of sorts is underway and many women, girls, and even some men are cutting their long locks to give back to children who have lost their hair not by choice, but by illness.  

Sydney shared Shailene's tumblr post on Facebook and I knew where I wanted my hair to go.  This haircut (and the previous two) will be sent to www.childrenwithhairloss.us.
