Cody stood up from the bed and stretched his back, sighing deeply as he reached for the bottle. It was hard to believe he was there, that his life would have gone the way it had. It was an extraordinary life and Cody wondered if he deserved it. Maybe he didn't deserve it but he would do his best with this chance in life. He popped the lid off and carefully poured it into two flutes, carrying them to the bed and handing one to the blonde on the bed. "Happy anniversary" he said as he held his glass up and lightly tapped it with hers.

It had started with a DM, something fairly common, not that Kat was used to them. Maybe that was why she had said yes, to see what the big deal was. Things had escalated very quickly but looking back despite the chaos and insanity that had befallen them the unexpected had happen and they had actually fallen for one another. That had been nearly seven years ago and now they were celebrating two years of marriage, something no one had ever thought would have happened. She tapped her glass to his and smiled at him. "Happy anniversary" she echoed back, smiling softly at him.
