More from LP reddit yâall. Be careful out there, a blindspot may not necessarily be a blindspot.
I think Walmart does this often
I canât fucking win lmfaooo
rep0st bc antil1fters in the comments
TW: health stuff
So I feel like something needs to be addressed in how LP predict for a sh0pl!fter . Things have changed since I was in LP. Many of the newer "profile" characteristics are frequently seen in the neurodivergent and the chronically ill. Like leaning on the cart . Or scratching alot. Not making eye contact /looking around a lot . Those two could be autism or ptsd hypervigilance .Even magnet detectors due to the fact multiple medical solutions (shunts, pacemakers, vns simulators) I'm not sure where to start advocating about this. Yes we do something "illega! " . But everyone who has chronic illness or is neurodivergent shouldnt have a horrible experience or suffer a false stop simply by behavior.
as a neurodivergent and disabled lÄŻfter, i think about this a lot.
YESSSS thank you for bringing this up. Iâm chronically ill and need to lean on the cart all the time. Itâs basically a walker for me
why is tumblr a literal breeding ground for hypocritical dicks? yâall wanna âdestroy capitalism!â and âend animal abuse!!!â and all this other social justice worker kind of shit, but I steal a fish and Iâm scum. whenever Iâm at the petstore, thereâs always near death, or actualy dead, fish in the jars. do you think the fish really give a shit if they were paid for or not? nah. but theyâre sure as hell happier living in a 3 gallon tank, with clean water, rather than an 8oz cup on a shelf for months on end. not to mention, 90% of yâall steal your movies, music, pc games, and tv shows via torrenting. still theft. how many of you do illegal drugs? and/or drink/smoke while underage? I mean, I just canât wrap my head around why you think youâre so above someone else. especially when youâre all so far from innocent. so many of you are still fuckin criminals, even if we arenât guilty of the same shit.
I wanna steal a fish nowđłđŽđ

cannot believe I have to keep on saying this but maybe don't?? reblog posts that are like "reblog if ur active in December!!!" if an anti saw that post or if it was even made by an anti, all they'd have to do is look at the 300 reblogs and they know who half the active lifters on liftblr are
You know what? Fuck capitalism.
hi! i'm new to this community on tumblr, but not to lifting in general. i was just wondering if there are any tips you have about being safe online and on tumblr specifically. thank you, and i love your blog! <3
sure! welcome to liftblrđđđâşď¸ also thank you for the opportunity to make this post, iâve got a few things to add since the last time i made one of these so it might be a long oneđ đ
youâve already got this one down, but iâll say it for those who need to hear it - turn off likes and follows on your blog. antis can easily find people to harass through these avenues, and while they can do the same scrolling through your blog thereâs no need to make their jobs easier
another one that youâve got down okay: donât use common lifting tags. that is, shoplift, lifting, liftplay, lyft, etc. even censored ones like lĂŽft are bad as one-word tags since antis are good at recognising patterns like that and using them against us. again, no need to make it easier for them!
donât like or reblog from outside the community. mistakes happen, but when they do itâs best to immediately delete the reblog before you risk attracting those from outside the community to your blog. this can be hard as ppl from outside often make posts that fit very well with us, and it only takes one reblog to start a chain of everyone breaking this rule. stay vigilant. if you really like a post from outside the community and think it will fit in with us, just screenshot and repost it with a caption stating that it was from the outside. i also like to include the OPs acc name in the picture bc i donât like to take other pplâs creditđ reversely, i tend to block blogs from outside that reblog from me
this probably goes without saying, but donât interact with ppl from outside even if itâs on a lifting post. interacting with antis only emboldens them, and youâre not going to change their bad opinion of you anyway. just block them and move on
you can go into settings to toggle the visibility of your blog - flicking all the âVisibilityâ switches on makes it so that your blog canât be searched up, and also makes it so that people canât search things within your blog itself. itâs an added layer of protection, and it also removes the need to censor store names in your posts
if youâre not going to change your visibility settings, consider censoring store names in your posts. h&m can become h+m, Victoriaâs Secret can be VĂŻctĂ´riĂ âs S3crèt, etc. again, itâs just an added layer of protection to stop outsiders from stumbling across your blog
allow some time to pass between lifting your hauls and posting them. if a store youâve lifted from somehow knows about liftblr this can help muddle up the timelines of your thefts and make it harder for them to identify you
remove exif data from all photos you post. there are apps you can use for this, or you can google how to do it from your computer. maybe invest in a VPN as well to further hide your online signature
when taking haul pics make sure your background isnât something that can be linked to you. i have special blankets i use specifically for my haul backgrounds so that no one who knows me irl will see it and link it to me. iâve never taken identifiable pics of my room or surroundings
donât give out personal info - specific age or area, what you look like, where you work/go to school, what youâre studying, etc. try not to post about irl events when they happen, at least let some time pass before you say anything
if youâve lifted from a store whose name you havenât seen on liftblr before, look it up to check its name isnât location-specific. chain stores will sometimes name their branches different things in order to make it seem smaller and more friendly to the locals, and listing said name during a haul post might inadvertently give away your location. i have done this befoređđ
youâve already got a lifting blog, but for anyone starting out: use a throwaway email address to create your blog - one you donât use for anything else and isnât linked to you in any way. create an entirely new blog instead of using a side blog. i do this with other platforms too - the discord acc i use to join lifting servers is specifically for lifting only. same thing with my peach acc
lifting can carry over from tumblr to other sites, especially if you lift to boost online. try to make any online boosting accs anonymous - use a username that isnât linked to you and a picture of something/one else. like with your hauls, try to mix the order in which you post new listings to avoid having stolen merch traced back to you. if you intend to post duplicate items (e.g. makeup palettes), delete old listings before you post new ones to avoid having them all visible on your store. if you sell clothes, try to avoid selling duplicate items, and focus on a set size range so they donât wildly vary. avoid selling items that all have price tags still attached - thatâs sus by itself
if youâre interested in finding a lifting buddy here, donât just jump straight in with the personal info. antis tend to be a lil impatient and less dedicated to lifting convos than actual lifters. take some time to get to know the person first - i talked with liftblurred (ripđ) for about half a year, i think, before we finally met to lift together. obviously you donât have to be as slow-burn as that tho skkssks
i think thatâs everything iâve got! iâm sure that if iâve missed anything someone will reblog or comment with additionsđâ¨â¨ i rly hope you have fun hereâ¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
How I sleep at night knowing I'll probably end up in jail one day for stealing materialistic things that can never make me truly happy or fix my mommy issues:
đ´đ´đ´
if you have multiple s/t/a/r/b/u/c/k/s in your area go through the drive thru and say something like âhi, i got a drink earlier at (street name) at just realized they messed it up. is there any chance you guys could replace it?â because of covid they wonât likely wonât ask for the other drink back
just act really apologetic it works 9 times out of 10. donât forget they use slave labor go get ur free coffee babes
did this today to get me and my gf drinks and they asked for the cups iâm-
lady at the window sounded pissed when she gave them to me too and was like âjust for future reference we wonât do this again without seeing the other drinksâ
jesus fuck what it is with my luck lately

Not to be mean but sometimes you guys talk about having risky situations and super close almost caught stories only to post the haul and itâs something that easily couldâve been lifted somewhere else?? I just read an outrageous almost caught story involving LP only for it to be over a pack of Hubba Bubba gum and a Jojo Siwa bow. Guys, not only use your best skills but use your common sense too, sometimes a haul from a certain store isnât worth it. If it can be lifted at a Claireâs or HT, go THERE instead of fucking with KohĹâs of all places.
Yeee my dudes - sometimes you can even get it at that store AT A DIFFERENT TIME so donât go in with a ânow or neverâ mentality cause you CAN
Come back again
Go to a different location
Go to a different store
Do NOT risk getting caught over something avoidable!
STEAL FROM G00DW!LL
they are a company who pays disabled people less then minimun wage so they donât have to pay fucking taxes.there job training program, is training disable people to work at goodwill so they donât have to fucking pay them. they suck balls, itâs good for the earth, and vintage is in.
things to know about taking shit from g00dwill
nothing is tagged
because everything is used and random, itâs basiclly impossible to tell if something is yours or not if you rip the sales tag off. use this to your advanage.
some stores have cameras, some donât. make a blind spot by kneeling buy a clothing rack, going to a dressing room or bathroom, or leaning over something. cameras are never watched from what Iâm aware of.
itâs not odd to take non-clothing items into bathrooms/dressing rooms. this is because if someone takes it there isnât another one
walkouts are super easy because stores are understaffed and emplyeees donât care. you can total wear stuff out of the store.
some stores have lp, but itâs not common
Rob them blind. :)
dollar general also makes a point to build multiple locations in rural areas and destroy their economy before closing all but the most profitable store.
fuck dollar general all my homies hate dollar general
Sooooo who wants to go kill dollar general????
TO ALL BABY LIFTERS
The adrenaline youâre feeling? The rush of emotion that you can literally have anything you want for free? It. Will. Pass. Donât get cocky and get caught because of it. Your life is not worth a material item.
I used to be so overwhelmed that I could literally have anything for free. Now Iâm chill about it. I donât worry about getting âeverythingâ I want in one haul. I can always go back to that store another time.Â
Donât get greedy as a beginner. Donât let your feelings take over. Stay safe :)
Letâs Get Something Straight
Good Reasons To L!ft:Â
you need adrenaline/serotonin/dopamine etc.Â
youâre poor asf and you want nice things
you have a mental illness and this is a non-harmful coping mechanism
youâre an anarchist/activist and want to fuck up chains
you genuinely like doing it for yourself
Reasons to NEVER FUCKING L!FT:
for the vine/tiktok/notes/likes/cloutÂ
as revenge against someone in particular
because you were pressured into doing it by somebody else
Seriously yâall. There are lots of good reasons to l!ft shit. There are lots of safe ways to do it. But please remember that this shit is ILLEGAL and you can get ARRESTED FOR IT. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE GET BIG HAULS JUST FOR THE CLOUT. PLEASE BE SMART.Â
THANK

so Iâm going to get some shit for this, but just because you are steal it doesnât mean itâs suddenly not mass consumption. just because you didnât pay for it doesnât mean it wasnât made in a sweatshop. just becuase you didnât pay for it doesnât mean the plastic itâs made of isnât going to stick around for the next 10 thousand years destorying the water supply.
there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. that doesnât mean consume massive amounts of shit your not even going to use because it doesnât matter, that means get less shit, and make sure the shit you are getting is worth having.Â
SÄphørâ lifting tipsđŞ
We can all agree that SĂŞphørĂĽ is the worst of the worst when it comes to lifting. The two times iâve ever gotten caught was AT ĹĂŠphòrĂĽ and I used that experience to practically get away every single time now đ¤Ş
When you first arrive, act normal and shop around. Do NOT bring a big bag with you or you will be immediately suspected. I carry my tiny everyday crossbody bag bc I wonât be using it anyway.
I like to smell perfumes and test some makeup before I do anything. DO NOT and I mean DO NOT attempt to steal full size bottles of perfume. Once youâre in the perfume section looking at the big bottles, youâre going to have eyes all over you no matter where you go with that bottle. I keep it safe and if I DO want perfume, I take the mini travel ones bc theyâre never tagged and I just slip them into my sleeve.
When lifting here, the only method I swear by and ONLY use, is the sleeve method. Practically every item there will fit in your sleeve. I like to wear an oversized Sherpa jacket with sleeves tight enough that items donât fall out, and open enough that I can slip things super easily in them. Since itâs Sherpa, itâs so much fuzz no one is going to notice your sleeve dangling full with stuff. Iâm able to act completely normal and even go up to the register and buy stuff without the stuff in my sleeve bringing attention.
When you do the sleeve method. DO NOT just pick up and item, and immediately slip it in your sleeve. I like to pick up an item and smell or test the testers before I grab something else, and as Iâm WALKING around, Iâll slip it into my sleeve. Whoever is watching you Is going to be so distracted with you holding other stuff and you walking, that they arenât going to notice youâre slipping something in your sleeve, especially if youâre not acting suspicious or nervous and shoving everything at once, thatâs how you get caught.
Donât get greedy. Seriously. Thatâs how you get caught. I made for myself so that I take 4 items max of whatever size there now, and thatâs if I only need it. Iâve been able to take OLAPLEX shampoos and makeup of whatever size I really wanted with this method and never took more than what I actually wanted.
I never stay there for too long, or else you become suspicious. Once I take what I want, I head straight to the register and look at all the travel size items they have on a shelf at the line. Usually once youâre in that area, itâs practically an amazing blind spot since #1, whoever is watching you sees youâre in line to âpayâ, #2, thereâs no cameras in that area except the onceâs facing the registers in case of emergencies. Anyone whose working will not bother you because youâre looking at all the travel size stuff in that area and they think youâre paying.
I like to stay there for a minute or two and then leave immediately after. My Sephora is always busy so the workers will always be occupied with other people and wonât notice you just leaving immediately after. Once they see youâre in line, all attention to you is gone.
This is basically my method I use to get away all the time with at ĹĄĂŞphòrĂŁ. I never get sussed no matter who Iâm with or what Iâm wearing. Take this info with a grain of salt and always be careful.
This is my first time uploading a lifting advice post, sorry if itâs messy and hard to understand.
Omg! đđť I can totally vouch for this. Iâve also been caught a few times at Sephora. I especially agree with the info about bringing a big bag and eyes being on you with perfume. They always watch you when you have perfume in your hands. Also be super careful because the floor it has really good LPďżź
